    Napoli was a centre in which the use of the cello dolo developed more than elsewhere in Italy. We have brautiful scores from Porpora, Leo. This one is delicate and moving at the beginning, then becomes animated with a good sense of equuilibrium between solo and tuttti. The medium slow movement is moving also. The finale is a stylised dance.

    I just went searching for this CD.....I found two USED copies........one for $125.00 and the other for $150.00. So I will give 10 stars to you for putting this up on UA-cam!!!!!

    Nicola Fiorenza - Concerto for cello in A Minor from 46:21 onward is not composed by Nicola Fiorenza, it s composed by Nicola Porpora

      Yes, bravo. I just read that Porpora taught young Haydn in Vienna. He apparently settled there after having an epic operatic battle with Handel in London. Musical History is interesting.
