I checked Utah’s record. The last 2 years they beat USC 3 times. Other than that, 1-7 vs the top 25, and the win was against UCLA who finished with a losing record in the conference. 3 years ago they beat Oregon 2 times, but also lost to BYU and SDst. Their last bowl win was in 2017 against WVU, but Will Grier was out hurt.
More of the butt hurt big 12 fans that toes curl when someone speaks positively about Utah. Are you really that hurt that we are incoming and are looked highly upon? It HELPS YOU 😮 How conveniently you left out just 3 years ago we went 3/4 in the top 25 win the conference and only lost to Ohio State when we had numerous people OUT INJURED and still almost won. In 2019 we went 11-3 only losing to USC, #14Oregon, and your ex that moved on Texas
In Texas, it’s Friday NIght Lights. High school football is king! I am sure the Big XII’s televised games are going to be popular with Texas high school football coaches! 🤬 Y’all night want to address this issue?
Tim Brando really knows how to work an interview, doesn’t he? Made his host squirm a little bit and gave the audience a ton of obfuscated code, telling the future of college football. He’s a real pro.
Imo Brando is 'KeithJackson' of current play-by-play announcers. TB knows more history & details going further back than anyone else (a total and sincere compliment).
Nice interview!!! The main disagreement is his idea on us, the ACC, and other conferences "bonding together" to oppose the CFP settlement. How can he not see that the Big Ten and SEC have leverage and will bully us, potentially breaking away from the NCAA?!?!?? I'll also be curious on his thoughts on Friday games; we only got THREE of the 9 played, while the Big Ten got the rest! But the assessment of the Big 12 was spot on. Like the balance, depth of the conference and how it could backfire come CFP selection, how many great coaches we have that make something out of 'nothing', and the crap the ACC is facing, making the Big 12 the better conference of the 2 to be in!!
The SEC and B1G are not leaving. Not until the Big 12 Expands to 20 All Sports teams with Memphis, Tulane, South Florida, Boise St, San Diego St, UNLV. Oregon St and Washington St etc. Everybody is going to 20 or 20 +1 right now. Not 24.
It’s going to be special Season. We will see how good Utah really is. Same with AZ. Colorado seems most unpredictable. ASU were bottom feeder last year however I wouldn’t discount them. I wouldn’t be surprised if all 4 end up having great seasons. Out of the expansion 2021 teams. I think UCF is clearly ahead of the pack. As a byu fan, I’m not expecting much maybe 4-5 wins. I just hope they’re competitive. Out of the old guard, KSU OSU KU and ISU could have undefeated seasons and I wouldn’t be surprised. Texas Tech has an easier schedule I could throw them In the mix. And damn I can’t forget WVU either. 8-9 wins for them If they are worse I’ll be surprised. The teams w/no hope at all in my view are Baylor Cincy and Houston has a first year coach. Where does that leave TCU? I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a special season too. This year will be ultra competitive. 👍🏻

Pete I love your shows, but You need to be more engaged with your guest. It's clear you're looking at something else while they're talking and don't really continue the conversation. Then you just ask another question when they're done with their thought.
I’m kind of don’t like the idea or want the idea of the Big12 as the best conference in football or proclaiming that mess, even though my Alma Mater in Houston is in the Big12. I have always been one to say earn it and stabling it before hearing it and saying it. The Big12 may be the most balanced but not the deepest and definitely not the best or strongest. Those descriptions belong to the SEC, the SBC, and 10 of the 18 teams in the BiG10. The Sun Belt not only jumped in front of the Mountain Worst Conference but regular season have gone ahead of the AAC as the best Non-Autonomous Conference total. Postseason is where the AAC is still the best out of the Non-A4 colleges and conferences. The Big12 has to be in the 10-11 teams bowl bound with the 16 schools they have. This also applies for the AAC of the Non-A4 conferences and show last season was a hiccup. I doubt the Big12 would get a second team in the playoffs this upcoming season. They could; but I don’t think so. They do need to win their bye into the quarterfinals game heading into the semifinals and try to not get boat raced out of the building.
Let me get this straight, the NCAA is a disaster and Brando says politicians can save the ACC. Yeah, if we go from one clown show to an even bigger clown show….🤔

If Fox wants Friday night games they need to pay the Big12 more
Why?? They're generating the value for the current contract by playing on Fridays vs. being stuck on ESPN+ on a Saturday.

Best scenario for Big XII is for 12-0 Utah to meet 12-0 KSU in the championship game... Likely puts 2 teams in the playoff.
