"Being a cop sounds hard."
"He's a meter maid."
Tommy Hill Still scary, tbh
Lovely Rita
Died lol
Zootropalis.
That part!😂😂😂
My grandfather was a homicide detective for the Chicago Police Department and I watched my parent's wedding video and his toast was exactly like this.
Sure it was
I could only imagine lol 😆

@@b.h.2819 you don't know that there are men like this that are afraid to cry? Lol

I had to pause at taranz part was laughing soooo much

Taran Killam steals the show any chance he gets
@@josephkim7882 2.6k now!....lol
Bit of trivia: This was the last episode of Hader, Sudeikis and Armisen and about 10 minutes before the shows end. Bill had only just been crying minutes earlier because he had just made his last appearance as Stefon with Seth. He said he was genuinely trying not to cry during this and going by how emotional all the cast were during the goodnights for that episode, I would say he wasn't alone. It was really the end of an era.
wow good bit of trivia
Is this true?
I just googled it this was his last episode that's a really cool thing to know!!!!
И его потом не было? Классный комедийный актёр
I remember Andy Samburg was in a Comedy Roast shortly after he Left SNL and one of the Comics who Roasted him said "Hey Andy thanks for making SNL Great. . . . By Leaving ok" Wich is True cause Andy Samburg Sucked Ass and was Never Funny and Ruined a Lot of Skits.

what is genius? the attention to detail. this is just a stupid funny sketch yet he took the time to deliver that line with such precision

"Hi, I'm Shauna" absolutely killed me, idk why it didn't get a bigger laugh
Gi O'Hara I know me too I laughed out loud by myself to that one
Gi O'Hara
I seriously was expecting for his name to be sean
Gi O'Hara I don’t get it
Shawn!
I'm the 667th thumbs up on this comment. I couldn't leave it at 666. I think Shauna would understand... both of them.
I love how Shauna (male) couldn't even say anything despite not even being related to Shauna (female)
But she's his namesake!
This comment would have been funnier without the text in paranthesis
If he was close enough to the family to be a namesake hes probably like an uncle to her
The way Bobby bounced into the scene like a muppet was amazing
Bobby was such an underrated cast member. The show was never the same after he left in my view.
@@romanramirez7847 yeah he was brilliant and can play different roles
Omfg that's exactly what it looked like haha
Highway patrolman Mike and Grampa after and then singing BAD BOYS 😂😂😂😂
Bobby is genius, IMO! Loved his incredible variety, cadence and timing. He added one of the best parts of this sketch!
The suddenly calm and composed folding of the paper should have got a much bigger laugh! "Aghughughughh! *quietly folds paper* "
Absolutely, the funniest part of the whole sketch.
Right
Bobby has such great timing

One person seemed to really like it
In a sketch of great fake crying, Taran still stands out. Superb fake crier.
So sad his contract on snl wasn't renewed
I know!!! I was really sad, I thought he was the best cast member (a new Bill Hader). I hope it at least means he has more time for movie roles as I think he was trying to break into acting roles.
Taran plays King George in Hamilton, I am super happy for him :D He is an amazing performer, so versatile.
Not only was his contract not renewed but he and Jay were let go before his first contract ended. Miss both of them dearly
Taran reminds me of the SNL equivalent to Mad's Ike Barinholtz but better
"but having a DAWGHTUH MMMMMMMHHHHHHH"
"shauna's brothuh, also a cawp"
Lol! Made me think of Bluebloods!
36 year retired Cop- this is the first time I've seen this, and it reminded me of my daughter's wedding. The two most emotional days of my life. I cried walking her down the aisle at the rehearsal, balled through the wedding, and also at the reception. Thank goodness I like the guy she married or I'd still be crying 18 years later.
lol it's cool - if she *ever* needs to leave him, just be there for her like my daddy was there for me! lol she'll be fine, i bet.
Cops retire at 36???
@@lopiklop I believe he means he was on the force for 36 years. I may be mistaken but with how long he said his daughter's been married...
Imagine all the horrible things he did in 36 years as the baconator
Great Skit, Love ben, love the other guys too & gals too!
Bill Hader has 3 daughters, I can see him act like this when they get married
Lmao regarless boys or girls he still ehmmmmmmm killed it
the hader sisters :)

Scrolling down the comments, I can't help but notice nobody makes the connection between the heavy crying theme and the fact that for three of them, this is the last sketch as cast members
Who are the three?
@@sulaimandaud9581 Bill Hader, Fred Armisen and Jason Sudeikis.
Don't think those 3 have left snl at the very same time. Did you mean it's the last sketch which had the three of them together?
@@keerthichandra376 They did, this was the final episode of Season 38. None of them returned for Season 39.
@ yeah you're right, I did know Bill and Fred left at the sametime so there were send off sketches in their honor. Jason didn't have one because he announced his departure during the off season.
So being a cop requires you to have that particular mustache?
Jeff Fassbender first thing taught in pouleece academy
Jeff Fassbender yes
Ima cop...yes

Grandpa was the best . When he got serious and folded the paper back 😂
Only thing missing was the obligatory “you hurt her, we hurt you. We know how to hide a body.”
Really those were the best SNL times. Such an outstanding cast.
whanowa - really should check out the first season. John,Chevy, Dan, Jane, Gilda, Bill Murray. There had been Nothing like it on TV before & some of it was sooo nasty compared to what they do now.
That was a good cast though. I grew up watching SNL in the late 80's. I loved when Eddie Murphy was on. Dana Carvey was brilliant. Loved the Adam Sandler, David Spade, Dennis Miller, Chris Farley, Chris Rock years. The early 2000's were really good with Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Jimmy Fallon (back when he was actually funny), Horacio Sanz, and Will Ferrell. SNL truly sucks now. Too political. Like angry political, to were it's uncomfortable to watch. Not funny political like when Will Ferrell was doing W. Bush or Dana doing H.W Bush.
Iridium Cor So true, couldn’t have said it better myself.
Bruh y’all have been saying SNL is trash for years but now miss this cast? In 5 years, you’ll probably be saying you miss the current cast lol
Will Ferrell days... I wasn’t old enough to watch the 70s season not alive when it came out smh. Segments of this time in snl was good but overall quite spotty
" ...he's a metermaid! " xD
The grandpa had the most heart felt words
Bill Hader was the perfect guy for this skit. He's amazing
As a cop i can relate to this beautiful famil....hmamamamam... nope cant do it.
EDIT
I know that I should and I will, it's just it's been years and I get so emotional ....hmamamamam... nope can't do it.
Fun Facts:
- didn't mean to be taken as a real cop when I posted the first comment
- I'm a dad, I felt like making a dry dad joke
- am not sporting a mustache
- actually, I am a Police officer of now 8 years of duty but in a non-English speaking country, not a native English speaker also..lols

This was the very last sketch before the Top of The Pops farewell for Fred, Bill, and Jason - "It's been alright, I've had a lovely time with you" 😢
My husband comes from a very big family full of cops (uncles, grandpa, cousins...etc.) and holy crap this is pretty much what they're like lol I remember we went to a funeral and every freaking speech was like this and they all had matching mustaches
2:23 My baby sis..... TER! 😂😂😂 what a lovely family

OMG THE GRANDPA’S SPEECH WAS JUST CRYING *me* 😂
I laughed out loud when Jason Sudeikis slid in the frame with that look on his face.
Can you imagine Farley in this sketch? My God, it would have been magic. He excelled at this kind of stuff.
watch Bill's expressions when Jason is speaking, I lost it
grandpa was hilarious.
"Now THAT'S a Staaaaarr Trek!"
Jason Sudekis' speech gets me everytime..so hilarious!! The laugh cry is too much lol 😂🤣😂😂😂😂
This hits different when you remember that Bill is actually emotional here because he had just finished the Seth/Stefon wedding sketch.
o my God died with Taran's speech..HILARIOUS
I'm a cop wife, and I approve this message
John Doe You sound triggered. Do you want to talk about it? I know a great therapist.

He's a meter maid 😂😊😂
Taran was THE BEST cast member... he killed it every time
This was amazing. Taran went to another level. Hader was downright authentic. Aflleck grunts, legit. Armisen, always on time. Sudeikas, underrated and wished he was still there. This was truly an special era.
ben affleck is pregnant. call henry cavill
Why Henry cavill
Coz he is probably the father? 😂
You think hez gonna name her martha!!
no Matt Damon for shame
Beer belly. LOL
not only a badge, you also need a moustache to be a cop.
This is a great example of how a good cast can make a normal sketch hilarious.
"Man, being a cop sure sounds hard" "he's a meter maid!"
03:42-03:47 Best thing I've ever seen 😂😂😂😂
I can watch this so many times over - and still can laugh out loud. Great skit.
The consistent mustaches are easily the best part.
It’s funny how the cast’s fake crying was way better than ben’s
Well, if you have to act live every week for 10 years you get pretty good at it. Ben just doesn't get as much practice.
He did sound like he had pulled a muscle more than he was trying to stifle crying
Lol cause in mmoobies you need to real cry lOL comedy is really hard lol
Sketch comedy's a totally different thing than straight film acting. Not only do you have to give a good performance, but also one that puts a goofy twist on the behavior that surprises the audience into laughing. Ben's crying in ARMAGEDDON is quite good.
Ben's stomach tho
this is one of the funniest snl sketches i´ve known
Bottled up emotions at its best
The geniuses in this sketch are missed! And to me, that includes Taran Killam also--absolutely LOVED his work on SNL. So versatile, so naturally funny, nice/relatable guy, SO talented along w/the rest of this group.
Best cast in the past 20 years and Taran Killam showing them all up as usual...
I've seen quite a few snl skits but this one is easy one of the funniest so far in my opinion.
Bobby and Taran are freaking awesome!
This is the Funniest sketch I think I have ever seen.
"This...the day of my daughter's wedding..."
And Chuck's belly....LOL 😂
2:25 That right there, that's called a masterpiece!
Grandpa definitely stole the show! 😂
When you deal with the realities of life on a daily basis, very little shocks, surprises or trips you up... but witnessing the true fragility of life makes you appreciate the loved ones you hold dear more deeply than most.
The grandpa's part killed me!
Bobby and Taran are hilarious lol
Much respect to all of you in this sketch, as I seem to come back to watch this one a bunch. It’s comedic gold to me. Much respect to everyone for sure, but extra special shout to Mr. Ben Affleck, a great guest who’s always great in films. All of you nailed this skit. Thank you for excellent stuff like this
I always find it very touching when these manly men get emotional.
This is seriously soooo funny and apt.
Cops/feds/firemen are always so “stoic”......

Really, never? You need to see some more shows man!
My face hurts from laughing at Hader🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is a general, timeless, clean humor and still funny SNL gem. A very rare occurrence
All the best actors in one video..... And BATMAN!!
The last speech reminded me of my own wedding 20 years ago. One of the aunts of my wife wanted to some wise words especially for me.
I didn't understand a word - not of her being emotional, but because of the wine we served at the dinner...
Thats a very hilarious and brilliant skit...hahahhahaa...everyone was superb...tht ol'granpaa too.. :))
