    Video was great. ok say you want to use different other types of thread. do you change the needle to slit bigger eye ?? I have a baby lock Imagine.

      Sandra, when stitching with a thicker thread than standard serger thread (Tex 27 or Tex 30), it is recommended to use a larger needle such as a #90/14. This is especially helpful when using decorative threads, such as Fantastico, through the needle.

    where did you find that larger spool base (the gray extension spool base)???

    • @superiorthreads
      @superiorthreads  9 років тому +10

      +Karen Derbes The foam bases are included with the Baby Lock Ovation. An alternate method is to get a small paper cup, poke a hole in the bottom so the guide pin from the serger can fit inside the cup and spool of thread. This allows the thread to unwind without jumping around.

      I used a piece of left over foam from sewing a bag. I cut a circle like a coaster and made a central hole for the spindle.

    What brand of thread is that? I've been looking for larger cones and cant find any.

    • @superiorthreads

      The decorative thread is Razzle Dazzle from Superior Threads. You can view the color selection here: www.superiorthreads.com/shop/category/thread/?brand=Razzle+Dazzle
