    I own two pairs of NOBULL trainers, as does my wife. I have a wider foot, so I understand the issues with the extra room for people with smaller feet. I find these to be comfortably snug all around. Sizing was my biggest issue when I ordered my first pair. I ended up having to go up almost a full size. Once I got over that hurdle though it's been a great experience. I almost exclusively wear mine to work out in, but on rare occasions I'll wear them out. For running they're awesome, and that's coming from a guy who struggled with shin splints and plantar fasciitis for years. Oly lifts, awesome too. The shoes are super stable. I honestly can't complain about anything regarding crossfit-style workouts either. These shoes can handle a fair beating without falling apart. If I had to point out one issue I have with these shoes, it's that it can be difficult to get any new pair when they launch cause they almost always sell out QUICK. You could end up waiting months for them to restock. But that's it. Well worth the price in my opinion.

      I'm 11.5 in my Nike trainer speed and Nike tr zoom 3 I'm quite flat footed but these two have been great. My feet are wide but not wide enough to have to find extra wide shoes. Should I get a pair of these? If not, anything like my Nike's that will work?
      P.s. I have seen several sources say the metcons run thin. That's why I haven't got them even though the trainer line was kinda phased out in favor of them.

      @Barbend  5 років тому

      @@meowpurpur Personally, I think you'll like how the NOBULL Trainers fit based on your foot's description + what you like. There's not a ton of arch support in them, but they're accommodating for a wider, flat foot! Btw, I would recommend going up a .5 size if you find that your Nikes fit very true.
      The Metcons do run a bit thin, so you're not wrong there - they feel much more like an athletic-style shoe compared to your standard cross-trainer. - Jake

      @@Barbend thank you. I run and lift in the same shoe so I was kind of hesitant of getting anything new, but I will probably give these a try.

    Long runs need dedicated running shoes. Squats should use weightlifting shoes. But these look like good general shoes.

    • @Barbend
      @Barbend  5 років тому +3

      100%, but it depends where you're falling on those continuums. These are solid shoes for doing a bit of everything from every training style. No cross trainer will ever fully excel in one dedicated activity compared to shoes designed for said specific activity! - Jake

    i definitely wouldn't use these as every day shoes. stiff sole and uppers with a low arch - they just aren't designed for that.

    I always thought those shoes were interesting so I looked into them. But the big turn-off for me was the actual logo. Wearing those in public would be a bit weird for me because of the large "NOBULL" on it lol. If the logo was much smaller or not even there, I'd buy them.

    • @Barbend
      @Barbend  5 років тому +4

      That is a great point. I go back and forth on if I like the branding, tbh, I'm personally a minimalist with that respect, which sounds like yourself. In NOBULL's defense, some color schemes hide it a bit better, although, I definitely wouldn't hate a smaller logo. - Jake

    Hey my man, thanks for your content. I have a quick question... I also have narrow feet, narrower than yours for sure, would you be kind enough to recommend some good options for all around use? Something that when you tighten up the laces they don't look stupid? Thanks in advance and keep it up :)

  • @izzy2802

    Are they a good shoe for DL and heavy squat(600lbs)? I wear flat shoes (van's all star's Jordan's 1) but blew out the shoes in about 2 months from wearing them down and flat feet.

    • @Barbend
      @Barbend  5 років тому

      Personally, I wouldn't recommend lifting that much in these shoes. They're stable no doubt, but I'd look for something a bit more firm, as the midsole in the NOBULL will give a bit moving that weight. My go-to flat shoes are Converse or wrestling shoes, although, those may not be the best for wider feet. You could also check out some of the Vans models for a flatter outsole and wider shoe! - Jake

    How would you compare this to the nike metcons?

    • @Barbend
      @Barbend  5 років тому +4

      Good question. Both shoes will serve you well for casual cross training workouts, but there are a few nuances with each. The NOBULL is far more comfortable for wearing on a day-to-day basis and has a slightly wider build, so it accommodates wider feet better. The Nike Metcon fits more slim and feels a lot like an athletic shoe with a ton of stability, so it accommodates heavier training much better, imo.
      If you want a shoe for day-to-day wear that's slightly wider and casual training: NOBULL
      If you want a shoe for heavier lifts that fits slimmer and strictly for the gym: Nike Metcon

      @hermz8616 4 роки тому

      Jalon Colston He said he felt good running in them but to just pay attention to the size since his toes jammed into the the front part of the shoe. If you have narrow feet, he recommends you go a size up

    • @jaloncolston7289
      @jaloncolston7289 4 роки тому

      Hermz just paying attention, most of his workout including running are usually less than a mile. Considering the type of shoe being a CrossFit style shoe they don’t really perform well over longer distances. I was asking because Nobull also released a running shoe and I was looking to compare the difference but thanks for your input it was much appreciated.

    These trainers are for everyday use but never for actual activity, I will give any trainer a go and I have. I have many pairs of trainers but these are pure designed for looks and have absolutely no practical use whatsoever. I would go as far as to say you might actually injure yourselves in these trainers. I have over 30 pairs of trainers atm, I am in the gym and on the road 5 times a week, I am 50 years old. Do not buy these shoes for the gym or the running version as I did, you will be let down. The price is terrible. They are very narrow as a trainer. The upper is not the problem. It’s the archaic foam they use, it’s like something from the 70s.

    • @Barbend
      @Barbend  5 років тому +1

      As mentioned in the video, not fully water proof, but decent compared to other mesh cross trainers. The breathability comes into play with the tongue being lightweight with holes for ventilation. Thus, making this shoe decently waterpoof and breathable. - Jake
