They may have put the Belair bowtie trim on the dash , but they left the 150/210 speaker grille in place . The ring guard behind the door handles was a dealer installed accessory , as was the rock guard behind the front tires .
@Jimmyjamesgarage that is because you're looking at the trim tag , which was put there by the Fisher body plant , who had no control over how GM would handle final assembly of the car . That's why you find cars with the four digit code saying that it's a V8 car , when it was built with a six cylinder . The deciding factor is the VIN tag in the door jamb , that was put there by GM . If the letter preceding the year is an A , it's a 150 , a B , is a 210 , a C is a Belair , and a D , is a sedan delivery . The letter following the year , is the assembly plant .

I'm not that familiar with the trim tags but Man I Love your dads old 55. Mine is supposedly a 210 but it came with the belair dash trim. No heater controls. Originally a California built V8 car.

looks like 210, taste like 210. must be a 210. also vin will tell you what it is. B is for 210, second letter in vin if V8. the rocker panel cover and door handle guard are dealer aftermarket stuff. fun fact the technical term for bel air is 2400. just like 2100 and 1500 models.
