Only those who never made a mistake should judge our keeper. Remember he saved us last game with a brilliant save. I take the positives from this game. We had Sunderland for the taking and were the better team with several key players out injured. MOT AWAW.
I would agree if this was a once off, but unfortunately it isn't. These past three seasons Meslier has been below average. Shots saved statistics are well below average. On a human level I feel for the guy, but the facts show he simply isn't good enough.
Gutted for the team, they were superb to tonight. Even Meslier was excellent until that equaliser. He must be devastated. Wish I could give him a hug. We'll done lads. 🤍💛💙 proud of you all. 😘

We showed that even with an injury crisis we can still deserve to win away from home at current table toppers who have had phenomenal home form. Very proud of the lads today. Proper unlucky but let’s hope we have some good luck to balance it.
Was at the game tonight. I was sat in the Sunderland end. It wasn't an amazing performance but one we should have seen out. I still don't know how that goal has gone in. It's going to be a long season.......

It is what it is. Tough to take but mistakes happen. Feels like 2 points dropped but looking at the overall game a draw probably reflected it fairly enough.

I'm sure the lad is beyond gutted by this horrendous howler , 3 points lost and I was fuming as I'm sure his team mates are after a quality away performance, but look , nobody died folks , we're in a far better position than last season at this stage , we put it behind us and support the lad , we march on together. oh and disgraceful support by Sunderland , stadium half empty 5 min to go and only one goal down , absolute disgrace.

Who let Meslier & the team down for the 1st goal - Mesilier did his bloody best to save FIRPO who was at fault for that goal - remember the whole picture
sadly it’s too long since Leeds had a keeper that could be taken seriously.
we've only had one manager in the last 20 odd years who could be taken seriously and he wasn't!
The possible concussion on Meslier has to be considered.

As a ex-keeper, if errors happen, you have nobody there to cover them, that's life - remember he tried his bloody best & deserved better in preventing the first goal - that was Firpo's error, 100% end of story. Bring on Sheff Utd😅

The manager keeps picking Meslier and it will cost him his job. Meslier has had so many howlers over the years its unreal, its not bad luck. He is shite, simple as that.

What will cost Farke his job is the fact that he has no interest in scoring goals despite having the best attack in the league. It cost us last season and it will cost us this season. He had no interest in scoring at West Brom, he had no interest in getting the winner at Norwich and he had no interest in getting a third goal tonight. He's way too cautious and negative just like Monk was.
What about the ball in the other net - we did enough to win that game 3-2, 4-2, etc, move on, thank you

It’s clear you’re not a Leeds fan to not realise the extent of our injury crisis and how threadbare our squad is. Not to mention travelling back from Norwich two days prior - it’s been an intense week or so for Leeds.

Exactly. He's way too negative and cautious despite having the best attack in the league. He played for a point at West Brom, settled for a point at Norwich and tried to hang on at 2-1 tonight. If you go for it in those three games and win one and lose two, you're no worse off. The job is too big for him, he's scared to lose. Bielsa got us up because he had no fear.
He said multiple times he wanted a third goal. The lads have just played 3 games in 6 days they can’t go all out attack for the whole game and we had no wingers on the bench… we tried to catch them on the counter and with that tactic we created 3 or 4 solid chances that were missed. We were defensively rock solid they had 0 shots on target and then that crazy freak moment!

@@abuabdullah9829 fair enough - I do disagree with you though because we have no spare wingers so taking them off at Norwich meant they could play the full 90 tonight, especially Ramazani who he already admitted he is managing his load. Overall we looked fantastic tonight and if that’s how we play against the top of the table I feel very confident. Fate was against us today with the weird ball bounce but we move on. We’ve only lost once and that was because of a slip, we’re looking good even with all the injuries and there’s plenty to feel positive about
Unfortunately if any keeper makes a mistake like that then it could cost you points as the last line of defence is nowhere to hide i feel for Meslier he has pulled of some great saves that has led us to getting draw or a win. It happens... I'd still put him in goal for the rest of the games if fit . Great result against a good team Gnonto 2 more assists. Keep it going.
