OMG. HELLO HELLO!! I'm the daughter of the creator of this game, Faith Nolin. The creator is my dad. I loves this game so much and it brings me genuinely endless joy to see people playing it and drawing attention to it. My father is so proud of this game, and it's just... Oh man!!! My heart is so fluttery watching this.... Thank you so much for playing this and reviewing it. I'm so thankful to you. Just, thank you so much. He put his heart into this so much. And I even got to test drive it in the early early versions haha! This is his first ever game, I promise he wants to add more to it! Much much love... Faith Nolin.
i've really enjoyed this game and wouldnt have discovered it without tomato. it reminds me of the kinda game id find on the n64 or playstation 2/xbox era that became a legendary cult classic for me. vibes of Body Harvest or Evil Dead Fistful of Boomstick. many props!
It's also very cheap, 8 bucks on sale rn, and for this much content and an active developer taking all feedback and working the great ideas he gets into the game, seems like a steal to me
Holy shit I really hope he learns a bit of the mechanics and comes back to this game at some point. Literally only the devs know how to actually play it as intended, but it would be so pogged if he managed to learn it to near the degree that he knows CDDA. It seems so unique and deep.
@@MuscleManSupreme If he ever comes back to it, it has been in development for like 7 years and has almost no following or player count to speak of, idk how well any of the systems actually function or if it has any semblance of balance once you "learn" the janky ass systems. It is super unique and seemingly deep looking, but it might just be a poorly executed passion project with really shittily implimented systems that look deep on the surface but require a very specific playstyle in order to work in the game.
@@MuscleManSupreme And thats what you call terrible user interface :) Main reason I avoid these games, sure I dont mind learning as I play but I dont wanna google everything I see. Each time I have to go outside of the game to look stuff up my immersion is broken and the game itself failed to provide a hint for me to acquire or learn what I looked up. Example: I dont want WoW's approach of giving me a clear marker of where to go and shows me exactly who to kill but instead just give me the direction, give me landmarks (like original WoW) so I can find my way to where I have to go and then describe what I have to kill or if they patrol or stand still and such. Essentially either they write obviously what you have to do (not that great though) or tell me a vaguely how I should proceed so I can find my own way and have at least some points from where I can go on.
I skipped to the middle of the video to see if this was worth watching. I skipped straight to where he ran across the bridge as the threat level turned to 3, the sun was setting, acid rain started to fall, and he found the fire truck just as hell on Earth happened with the big following monster. I was immediately invested.
Yeah I like this game. Definitely has the charm of some guys getting together to make a game. I have been in a few gamejams at my university and even though we only produced minimal viable prototypes, to show off what we learned during workshops, I can really appreciate little games like this, because I know how much effort even this can take. I will probably get it just to try it out once all my tests and assignments are over.
Tomato manages to make every game good no matter how crusty or unfinished. Tomato, if you manage to see this. I love your content bro. Your bits are funny as shit.
47:00 Sometimes Tomato does smart things. Anyone else would've had their first spider fight. The locked car trunk and the poor fuel mileage was a funny start. :)
2:19:35 You know, I actually kind of like that the giant zombies are tough, but not juggernaut bullet sponges. It is kind of realistic that enough bullets to the face will fucking kill you even if they are really small in comparison to you.
I could see this game allowing you to add turrets (idk if you can) and traps to your vehicle or moving base it seems, I think it would add to the charm also multiplayer
a year late but the game currently has placeable turrets and vehicle (even trailer)turrets and side blades you can toggle and spike plough and all kinds of stuff. and even remote play split screen co op!
This game is a culmination of so many titles yet I cant help thinking that this is the final form of Organ Trail, good show Tamto, this game looks like the tits and I wish to play it
This is definitely a "you get a car, but you gotta take it slow... ish, the clock is ticking, all the clocks are ticking and the big scary one ticks the fastest" kinda game. You're probably supposed to have the heli call-in or even a cruise missile strike by threat 20, can't have that if you just zoom from checkpoint to checkpoint. Definitely can't have that when the first thing you do and keep doing for a couple checkpoints is bit-murder thinking there aren't any consequences you should care about. :P
Game has potential with its current foundation. Just needs some graphic and textures updates, improved animations, and better audio clips & mixing. Meteors should come from an angle than dropping straight down, etc. I think it’ll be a fun and popular game with just those improvements.
I don't think I've ever been more annoyed by a Tamto bit than the one in this game - where he's intentionally looking backwards while driving like an absolute dingus even though he knows there's regular road blocks and cars in the road. I yelled in my head "LOOK AT THE DAMN ROAD" quite a few times. Tamto/10, would quietly rage again.
This game is ambitious, but a lot of the concepts are poorly explained and the balance is all over the place. Like, how the hell are you ever supposed to sit and fish, make a campfire, or gather wood when you seem to be constantly pursued by swarms of demons? Was Tomato just expected to do more killing and less running? More hiding instead of driving in the dark or during "blowouts?" I suppose if he did kill more (and also didn't kill survivors as much) he would have more "inspiration" to spend collecting survivors and getting free stuff from colonies. The respawn bonuses are kinda nice. It doesn't just end the game or leave you high and dry.

he did a good job, this video has inspired me to pick up a couple copies to play with my brothers
@@darthjesus7959 if you put it on youtube, tell me here! I would really love to watch, it's a ton of fun to see people play it lol!

if tomato plays a game with crappy graphics you know its gonna be good
The game is beautiful.
I love that the devs gave a shoutout to tamto after this stream!
So rare to find a game that actually deserves to be called a hidden gem. Thanks for digging it up Tomato!
This game is utter chaos, I'm so happy tomato played it because I would have never heard of it.
Virgil deserved what he got for having frosted tips
Can't argue with that
Screaming all the way to flavortown....
2:11:29 Satan legit sent down a metal gear to stop tomato.
this game is unironically so intriguing and seems really fun

@ryan litzau i would totally get it but unfortunately i don't have a PC, when I decide to get one it'll be the first game i buy though lol
@FALLOUT450 even better because by whatever time you get it even more work will be done on the game! Hope you get it soon :)
@@ryanlitzau thanks man, i hope so too! :)
it's on sale for like 12 more hours bro get it

You'd think the devs would make the game a bit easier to learn. It feels like learning how to fix a car for the first time.
@@MuscleManSupreme It's like My Summer Car if only 13 people had ever played it, there was no wiki, and cars were just a fictional idea IRL
@@CadoonTube I'm sure tomato will figure shit out

Day 10 only Threat Level 12 and I had a flippen demonic dragon spawn right on the road. Thank you, rocket turret.
I laughed my ass off when that Mech spawned out of nowhere, you just never know with this game

cataclysm: road to salvation
this was an AMAZING stream
i swear this game looks like if someone looked at a cool Roblox server and said "... i can do better..."
this game was pretty clearly made by cool people who are gonna go on to work on far cooler games in the future.
Bozos: Tomato STALKER streams are the poggest!

This is a premodded game. I love it.
