- IT HAS OFTEN been called "the other Swedish car" but make no mistake, this isn't some unworthy, best-forgotten, bad-hat sibling kept chained in a basement, so as not to embarrass the rest of the family type story, no, not by a longshot, because Saab really does make incredible cars. I've always known that, you probably did too, but for those who don't, read on...
If that intro paragraph didn't get you excited as a 17-year old's first time in a whorehouse with a carton of condoms, you'd best stop reading this or watching the video, like right now, cos you're not gonna appreciate what's to come (no pun intended, honest). In a nutshell, you're either gonna love it, or HATE it, there's no in-between. I'm referring to this Saab 900S ya, not the whorehouse.
Where was I? Oh yes the Saab 900S. I'm not gonna say much here, since I've already covered all the bases - short of crawling under the car to show u the exhaust system - in the video. Safe to say, if you've always wondered what it's like to own and drive a Saab, THIS IS YOUR BEST CHANCE.

SAAB must have sent their engineers to year 2020 before start designing this 900s back in year 1996. The boot light switch is just brilliant!

i just bought saab 900 s 2.3 1998, almost 100% rust free, manual transmission, drives pretty nice ;)

Saab put a heck load of quirkiness in their cars, even when they were under the hands of GM.
(Apparently some said they completely ignored GM's instructions to keep the cars simple when sharing platforms with other GM products).
Shame they're gone. You don't see such uniqueness in most cars today.

Saabs are probably my favourite classics, specifically first gen 900 facelift 3-door turbo. I love their liftback design, looks like the car from another planet. Really aerodynamic and can also be said as alien-like design.
They're so unique! My aunt had the much older 2-cyl version, engine at the back 😊

So after having own my 900 classic, it drives like a plane, get it. However, the three speed automatic transmission really kills the feel but it shifts so smooth, so I might sell it, I will swap a manual transmission one in. Nice review of this 900, also fun fact this 900 is called NG meaning 'New Generation' but it was later have its change to the 93. Haven't comment to you in awhile and wish you good luck on your other cars.

This car is mysteriously but enticing to me. I think the built quality is the attraction. One lovely showroom mint example. In case some wonder about parts, there is spare parts dealer for this beauty but can go Jalan Ipoh, Alat Alat Ganti Perkasa ( if not mistaken) selling Volvo and Saab parts.

First time seeing a SAAB's interior up close. I always have them impression that SAAB's design language are ugly. BUT you changed my mind. ITs' beautiful. The engine looks beautiful. The bonet area is impressive. Wish I can have a go at it. but I'm just got myself a 'Bluebird'.

It's a pity that SAAB cars are a history. They were always ahead of their time in the 90s. Their interior still look miles cleaner and modern than today's cars. Fabric seats also always more lasting than leather ones.

Wow havent seen one review saab in malaysia before, that one great example of great saab in good condition. Really a nice car, however based on your experience will this car need a really particular tlc in maintaining them. Would love to own them but afraid couldn’t maintained it like Mr William done.
Thanks!! Nah, I reckon it would be quite easy to maintain, preventive maintenance would he essential, a must. It's been taken care of by a Saab specialist nearby and Kenzone too 😊

Same company until late 1990s.. then SAAB was sold to GM.. hence their logo also changed from SAAB-Scania to just their own respective Brand’s.. but they both kept the Griffin in their logos
