Basically what i use for bad animations is Side frames which is just adding frames after others so the animation itself will have flow and fluency in it.

another tip: if your making a fighting animation, dont make the combos lame with a few punches, make it creative and add more.
example: heavy punch, high kick, twirl kick and haymaker.
