- The Cleveland HIBORE XL and Cleveland HIBORE XL LITE
Let's look at how the HiBore XL and HiBore XL LITE differ in flight, main thing here is the direction of the ball flight which is encouraged by the design characteristics of the two Drivers.
Cleveland HiBore XL - 9 Stiff - Tensei Blue 55
Cleveland HiBore XL LITE - 9 Stiff - Ascent 40
As always Freddie you explain every detail of what your reviewing in a manner that makes it clear to understand Cleveland make great clubs I use there wedges and a halo hybrid which I love
Thank you kindly - Cleveland is really good kit ...My first set of proper wedges were the Cleveland 900 Bronze and I've love Cleveland wedges ever since :)
So if your miss is a dreaded toe shot and to the left...these are not an option? I guess unless you set it flat.
Triangular shaped driver: Callaway FT-iz
Of course!! I forgot about those!! Good spot
Yes, a lighter head/shaft can help increase club head speed. Theoretically, that means more ball speed and carry. But maybe NOT ALWAYS. MASS also factors into this equation IMO. I think that is one of the reasons that Ping heads are heavier than most. If you have more mass impacting the ball that also drives the ball forward faster? Like a big rugby player hitting an opponent versus a smaller player. Who knocks that opponent back more? The big guy does. The problem is determining how much mass to add before its benefit is lost due to lower swing speed. So I am not a big fan of these "Lite" clubs, as I feel they lean too much to one side of the compromise. But feel free to tell me if I am entirely incorrect. Thanks for the review.
@JDSFLA I get what you mean there! You're not wrong but you're not right - depends entirely on the golfer :) It won't be right for everyone and it won't be wrong for everyone - testing and fitting would be my main encouragement to see what the golfer gets from each idea
Force needs Mass AND Speed ....try too hard to up one and the other gets compromised - note, my Smash Factor / Efficiency dropped in the LITE as the mass wasn't as impactful
I like a shorter shaft and heavier weights in the head when I'm building my own driver 😎😁
There's no one size fits all in golf 🤓😋
Exactly!!!!!!!!It is so evident with irons - light shafts are simply disaster!
@NetoperekMordulec Every golfer responds to light and heavy shafts differently ...they wouldn't make them if they didn't help someone 🙃
Very good answer, and absolutely correct
Great review Freddie, Nobody explains Quite it like you do !!!🏌🏌🏌
@ablazer4551 Haha, thank you 😁
