Looks good dude. I did something like it with my Gheenoe on the stern side. Covered the entire are that the fuel sits and covered the bench to make one flat surface. I sealed my plywood with marine grade topcoat and put stick on EVA foam. Looks like it was supposed to be there haha
Yo man. Just got a gheenoe and saw how you made the bow front false floor and liked the idea. Guess you’re right for a big guy like me also 6.4 and 200lbs I’d rather build down than up ha. How did it hold up over time? Also do you have vids of how you build the back deck also. Thanks man 👍

I had no issue for the time I owned it. It was an inexpensive way of building a deck. I don’t believe I have video of it. But I will look.
@@RoosterSr03 thanks man. Did you use 2x4s for the supports on bow platform? Then just space them out to make standing platform level?
How does the wood get attached to the boat. Ive put flooring in metal jon boat but not with fiberglass boat
I used ss screws for the the seat area. But for the floor I just used some caulking to keep it in place. Worked good for my purpose.
@Rooster Tv I wanna do something similar. What adhesive do you recommend for adhering wood to the gheenoe? How's it holding up so far? Thx
You should seal all surfaces with epoxy resin. It will keep it from rotting..
I painted it top and bottom with Acrylic paint. Epoxy resin would have definitely been a much better option if I wasn’t so cheap. Lol.
thanks for the inspiration
