It's amazing how much you managed to do in a relatively short time. 👍 Nature has enormous possibilities of regeneration, but it needs a little help and stop littering the environment in which we also live. ☘

The pollution in the Ala Wai comes from many places. Most of storm drains in Waikiki, neighborhoods adjacent and mountainside. I've seen people dumping oil down storm drains in Waikiki, and cleaning rugs on sidewalks, solutions going down storm drains. The polluted water doesn't have proper circulation, it sits trapped. There was supposed to be a fix with proper circulation but it cost too much.

I think it's more a testament to the assertiveness of these mammals. They are claiming and occupying space.

How did the seal get in there? Does that waterway run into the ocean?

This morning I watched a duck swim from Palolo Stream, half way to McCully bridge, and I was thinking, why would she swim all that way when you can fly? I looked away and when I looked back, she was with a male duck.

Looking at the comment section, I can already tell that these are all people who either didn't graduate high school or are just blue-collar workers with no comprehension of microbiology lmao.
