We've been in total lockdown in France for the past 5 weeks and your daily videos are both literally and figuratively a breath of fresh air for me. Thanks 👌
That was actually a salt water activated strobe light that Navy sailors wear on their float coats (safety coats used when working on the decks of ships). If a sailor goes overboard the strobe will activate helping the rescue teams find them.
I'm so glad that your family and the store is hanging in there and doing well during this crazy time. I always let the commercials on your videos run in hopes that in some small way I am helping you out. Best wishes and I hope to go to your store with alot of money to spend someday.
Nice to see you both kicking back and enjoying your time. I hope you and your family are doing well and getting through this pandemic. Hopefully you’ll get to reopen and start to do what you love. Take care
What a nice couple. Thanks for sharing your story. I appreciate your output. Willie is fun to have lunch with. I live in Austin. My wife and I used to eat at a Thai restaurant in Rollingwood where local musicians hung out. One evening Willie came over with his braids in a a karate outfit to see my 2 year old daughter. For once I was speechless.
This video made my morning. You two are perfect together. Thanks for sharing a bit of your life with us. It was funny, entertaining, and a great way to start the day. Best to you both.
Great to see you happy and enjoying the “American Dream”. It’s obvious that you still place your family ahead of everything and you support each other no matter what. I wish you much success.!
When I talked to my son about helping me open a record store, he talked me out of it. My son has a 5 yr degree in business. He said that he wanted me to just retire and enjoy my hobby. I had all the furniture, record bins, showcases, ect. So I sold it all to a friend real cheap. And he in return, tells me when he gets stuff I like first and sells me records at cost. Win - win. Emily is charming. You need her on more often. Great video Dillon. Always be yourself Emily. Don't worry what people think.😎
My wife and I have a really good record relationship. She puts up with records all over the place and even helps me with record shows. We both love Led Zeppelin. My only beef with her is when I ask her what she would like to listen to, she always responds with one of the following answers: 1. Play something I like 2. You know what I like 3. Play something good Puts a lot of pressure on me to make the right choice!
Like so many others on here, my wife and I really admire you two for working hard together to make your dreams come true. Yep, I’m one of those many folks that wish I would’ve opened a record store. Could’ve done it a couple times and never did. Now, I’m old and just starting to go back through my collection and using Discogs for the first time. Again, great video, really fun for both my wife and I, we enjoyed learning a little bit more about you two. You guys are doing it right - good job!!
Hello from Oregon City, Oregon and a new subscriber. Enjoy your channel and the knowledge you share. You and Emily seem to be well grounded and enjoy each others company. It was fun seeing a more personal side of you guys.
So great to see you both together, you should do this more often. My wife has put up with my Record and other collections over many years. Our first date was thrifting 26 years ago yesterday. Noble is on its way to legendary status, stay safe friends :)
Hey, great job on the video. I loved that you really thought about your answers and were genuine. I wouldn't expect anything less since that's one of the things that appealed to me about all your other videos. I'm so glad you two have such a great marriage and I wish you the very best in life together.
I've been watching your channel for a while now mate and love your story. The store looks awesome and you're great people. All the best and hope you're back to face to face selling soon! From Newcastle, England
Really nice having you two do this together. Everyone wants to start a record store, I was that way in the mid 90s and was so close to doing it until the mall decided they wanted a chain. Whew, probably lucky for me. I was actually using it as a side venture, it was in Iowa and I was working in Minnesota. It was a dream though. Glad you realized yours.
I've been enjoying your channel for the past 5 weeks. Just bought a Tee. Maybe when things get back to normal I'll take a road trip to the shop, coming from Michigan.

nice idea to open up likethis about your business your life , great couple,,record stores are not easy, having said that wish you all much happiness and succes
Thanks. Nice video. You and your wife are an inspirational couple. In one of my dreams, I had a record store with my favorite records displayed. In the dream, someone wanted to buy a record, but I didn’t want to sell it to them! Your store is amazing. We don’t have anything like it close to where I live. I don’t know if this is the right place but I would also like to suggest some other videos to do: most underrated albums, favorite sound tracks and which albums you like to hear to relax to or chill out?
It hasn't been a while since I came across your YT channel, and you already made me discover great stuffs like the album from Townes Van Zandt that you highly recommend or Gary Higgins just to mention a few. I really like this US stripped-down and raw folk sound from the late 60'S/early 70's era. I have a soft spot for CSN&Y, everything Gene Clark did right after he left the Byrds, f.i. the album he and Doug Dillard did together..good sound but those records (vinyl original copy or even re-issue) are though very hard to find over here in Europe. Congrats for your great work and thank you for sharing your passion with us. Good luck with your record store. Keep up the good work. Cheers from France/Europe
Hey man, I've just stumbled across your YT channel. Love it. I was wondering if you've done a video on which equipment (turntable, speakers, pre and power amps etc) you use and what you'd recommend for a basic beginner set up Thanks
Dil-icious, your wife’s a babe. It was awesome to see you two feed off of each other and to see the parent side when talking about your boys. I hope to make it out to NC one day. Thanks for the videos Jared Sacramento CA
Very nice video. To turn your hobby into your profession is the most beautiful thing in life. If you have a wife who supports you, you can consider yourself very lucky. Is that the Wet Willie LP cover framed above Emily? Is it a favourite of yours or just for the cover art?
Both! I bought a collection from one of the guys who designed the cover art so that’s a pre-production print of it!
