We gave ours the Awoof ones before we even saw this video, only complaint is the ‘no slip’ bottom isn’t as effective as we’d like but that might just be our dogs being rough (we have energetic 60 lb cur lab Pitt mix puppies)
What if your dog has a dry snout condition? Does this dry it out more? Are there any mats with different fabrics that are better for their snout if it's already irritated?
We have a golden that is obsessed with cloth. She loves to carry it and really loves to chew it. I can't tell you how many dog beds, t-towels, shirts, coats and other cloth items she has destroyed. I'm wanting to get a snuffle mat for our other dog who is a golden/lab cross. She loves to sniff things out but I'm afraid her sister will just destroy the mat. Is there a silicone option for these mats instead of cloth?
You might look into a "Licking Mat" instead. Peanut butter, plain yogurt, wet food - you spread it along the grooves and then your dogs seek it out between the ridges.
How would you go about cleaning these without ruining them?
Many of them can be washed in a washing machine.

My dog loves his green one. He has fun eating and seems more satisfied afterwards.
Once he's done eating his kibble from his snuffle mat I give him some wet food with his supplements and his probiotic in it. I use a kong or a lickibowl for that.

Torture. Imagine being hungry. Not all dogs sniff alot, some are kind of ditzy and this would take forever.
This shouldn't be used to feed your dog, but instead as a treat/game. It's supposed to keep them from getting bored for a little bit and use their nose. Dogs should use their nose and it's a good way to keep that sense active. but your right, it's probably not ideal for all dogs. Dogs who aren't treat motivated probably won't like it.

Lol the dog isn't starving to death. My dog eats twice a day. He has a lot more fun with his snuffle mat and seems more satisfied afterwards than just gorging himself from a food bowl, which is over in like 30 sec or less.
