Well, as it has been pointed out you should check the case ending of Al Mudafu Ilaihi not Al Mudaf. If you do so, everything will fall into place ( kitabu : in each side ) Also, please note that attached personal pronouns are Mabniyah. So they won't inflect no matter what their position is within the sentence. Not to mention that their sole function is to further define Al Mudafu Ilaihi. Are we agreed ?
