Your really making want to visit Japan even more then I wanted to prior to this series. I just started buying from Japan and I am in love I never would have done it if I wasn't confident in fixing gameboys because of your content thank you
Your gleeful skipping says it all; embracing your passions all while living a dream. Everyone deserves to be that happy at least once in their lives and I'm so overwhelmingly grateful that I too was able to experience Japan before the pandemic. It truly is a magical country. Thank you for sharing this trip with us all! :)
You're getting really good at this whole vlogging thing, I must say. When I first subscribed to you, it was to see you making repairs or mods to tech, but I really like this kind of content too!
Enthusiastic commentary, the shot of you skipping to the shop lmao, the David Attenborough impression, these are really fun to watch & it's obvious how much fun you've been having putting them together
I’m really enjoying these Japan videos. We’re so glad that you went there to make those fun Nintendo videos. I’ll rewatch them again and again. One day I’ll be going to Japan to do the same.
Great to see Sendico, I've gotten so many amazing bargains and unique Japanese items from them. Glad to hear their doing well and expanding! Buying Retro games and consoles from eBay is dead to me since I found these guys
Hey Elliot. Of all your recent videos, this is the one that I enjoyed most and found especially interesting. A retro thrifting trip through Japan, how cool is that!
Ah man... Thank you for what you do, you really bring me so much comfort.. Your videos are like a little happy therapy session for me, thank you so so much
Loving this series, in fact all your travel stuff. Glad to see you bagging some bargains and cool stuff in Hard Off, they were shopped-out in Akihabara when I visited last December.
I've been living in Japan for around 14 years. The glory days were pre 2015. I use to fill up the car on these trips. Now it's not even worth visiting hard offs, you're better off on yahoo. It's all overpriced. Still, it's always fun for me to visit a hard off now and then because you never know what you will find. 😊
You ain’t kidding. I’ve been living here for almost two years, my buddy found a brand new limited edition PSP for around 50 USD and I got Leaf Green and a DBZ GBA game for relatively cheap as well. There’s a few Hard offs in Hiroshima that are still diamonds in the rough if you’re willing to do some digging
Even with yahoo auctions and mercari, the prices have been climbing steadily. We have the glut of proxy buying services to thank. To find the real gems now requires looking for local neighborhood toy/game shops and asking if they have dead stock.
Some of the best bargains I found were mid 2012-2013, the price has been climbing in recent years, though it also depends a lot on the locality, I literally wouldn't waste my breath on central tokyo hard offs, book offs, Treasure factories or similar, they inflate their prices dramatically for the foreigners, I have since left Japan, but when i left in 2020, what I noticed from most stores was that they were phasing out certain age/generation of games, famicom games were being sold in bundles of 20, I think in the next 10 years or so, they likely wont have anything older than PS3/360 on shelves.
Im loving these series and specially with the GoPro, for us that can't go to japan for whatever reason, it's really awesone that you can also give us pov view of the junk section and more. Cheers from Chile!
Dude! It's so cool after all these years that you went to the actual Sendico warehouse! That's sick! Also, I could watch you all day going through Gameboys trying to find THE one ahah!
Elliot, I am so HAPPY for you my friend!! Thank you for sharing your amazing trip to Japan!!! I can’t thank you enough for sharing this with us!! Your incredible!! ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉
We have hard-off stores in the states. The biggest difference is that here the 2nd hand offerings are ridiculously over priced and usually not in good condition
@@haydenlaw1484 that is true most of the time but i did buy a rock man bn 4 gba sp from japan one time and it wasn't in the best of shape, i payed 80 for it. so that is true most of the time but sometimes it is not so.
This makes me want to go to Japan... The amount of cool stuff in the Junk bins which would normally cost HUNDREDS of pounds... It's too much to resist ❤️
Ugh I really wish we had a store like this in the US! Also the monkey place is really cool! I hope I can visit Japan one day and definitely go to one of these stores! The mountains are so beautiful!
Hi I am from Mauritius and always wanted to have a Game boy color and DMG GB. It is crazy expensive in my country. But I got mine through Sendico for crazy cheap!!! I heard of Sendico through your channel, and Id like to thank you! It was the first time I used the sponsor of a youtuber.
That first HARDOFF is in Nagano and when I was there it was the location where I DIDN'T (foolishly) buy the Pokémon Center exclusive charizard GAMEBOY SP that just needed a little fixing as it had a faulty power switch, it was £90 and at the time I was just not sure if I wanted to spend that on it... After the 6 months of HARDOFFS and... Way too many luggage cases filled, it was my one regret. Seeing you not mention this item confirms it's no longer there ( I even got a friend to call in for me to check a few months back). I really loved that store, glad you had a good time too!!
We all know that Japan is known for its technological advancements, but, you, Elliot, showed the other side. That being the landscapes, the mountainsides, and the interaction with nature. While at the same time warning us to watch our step so we don't step in a big steaming pile of monkey stuff. Keep the vids coming. It's a safe bet that we are all wondering what you have in store for episode 3.
I used the Sendico link from your last video to snag a New 3DS LL for like half of what it's going for on eBay. Felt like magic to have someone get it on my behalf, from Japan; very cool to see the warehouse. On an upcoming video, would you talk about the logistics of your trip to Japan? How you planned your itinerary, renting a car, where/if you got a SIM card? Stuff like that. Would be cool to learn from.
Ahhh fuck yeah! I love Sendico. It's a good way to spend money lol. I'm pretty sure my parcels where in there at the time when you filmed this! If you saw GBAs, Rockman stuff, Stickers, Monster hunter stuff, then that was me! haha. Cheers!
I live in Japan and within walking distance of my house there is an amazing secondhand shop that literally has EVERYTHING! I picked up a mint condition boxed copy of Animal Crossing for the N64 for under $40.00 and a boxed copy of the first Fire Emblem game for the Famicom for $20.00 and a boxed copy of Fire Emblem Gaiden for the Famicom for $15.00! It’s amazing!
Nagoya is a big city and a stop on the shinkansen from Tokyo to Osaka and while it has less stuff overall the deals there are really nice too. Just don't be out too late, everything closes early and you'll be hard pressed to find anything to do or food to eat.
Not much to say. This video is quite literally a dream. Taking 200€ with me to Japan and going home with like 7 GameBoys and some broken ones. Breathtaking
Love the videos and yes Sendico looks like it does in Google Maps pictures. I have been wafflling between Sendico and Japan 4 U as Japan 4 U doesn't charge all the extra fees and postage honestly is much cheaper through them. While you are limited with what selection they have in warehouse I have picked up some great deals on Gameboys, PSPs and a Wanderswan.
Have you been around Brighton recently? Keep seeing guys that look like you. Love these videos, digging through second hand stuff is my favourite thing!
I had no idea the Sendico HQ was in Toyama. I used to live there! I wonder if you went to any of the Hard Offs that I used to frequent, aha. I also found a Panasonic Q GameCube controller at my local Hard Off for ¥10,000. Didn't buy it but wondering if I should have gotten it now... Looking forward to seeing the rest of your journey!
I'm going to feel empty inside once this series ends
I know the feeling; still waiting on his bike rebuild videos….
don't worry, he's offloading 2 weeks of footage in several months.
Same 😢

Japans absolutely beautiful both in the scenery and the tech, love your videos and keep up the good work
Damn, Elliot!
The shots and cinematography of these videos are so high quality, I don't have words to say
Thank you so much for all the hard work! 💙
5:42 "Transfer Pak" is the word you're looking for
Hey Elliot. Of all your recent videos, this is the one that I enjoyed most and found especially interesting. A retro thrifting trip through Japan, how cool is that!

I thought this channel went a bit quiet for a while now I know why. Amazing, now I have some great content lined up for a few months. Big up.
Another great episode! Really enjoying this series. 💯

The only retro gamer I know apart from MJC, who flew to Japan! Excellent video and well done! Keep on impressing us!
Keep up the passion with the Gameboy n tech stuff man. Luv your new style of video.
seeing the actual sendico warehouse is so cool
Having a blast i see Elliot, enjoy every minute mate.
I'm sad I didn't get to watch these as they were coming out. But this is a really cool experience you're sharing! :D

The video doesn’t do it justice. You have to visit Japan to truly appreciate how breathtaking the landscape is. Doesn’t even feel real half the time

The David Attenborough impression got me good LOL!
I think Sendico might just be the most wholesome UA-cam ad. Raid Shadow Legends wouldn't fly their promoters to Japan would they? 🤣🤣
If, at the end of this series, you don't put yourself in a box and have Sendico get you home, I will be disappointed.
