I have a 15x to 45x zoom Barska, and I think it's the best. I use it for night sky and wild life. Your right about the tripod, it's heavy duty and smooth operating.
Top Cat The 45x would def be a great option because the truth is it does best around 45. When you get all the way out to 60 it is fairly unclear and does not pick up much light.
Thanks! After days of intensive research and price checking and weighing all the specs., reading all the hundreds of reviews, etc., I ordered the Colorado spotting scope (CO11216) from Amazon, new with free shipping for $72.50. I'm pretty confident that it'll do the trick at the range out to 200 yards.
This scope is definately worth it. I would check Amazon.com for a "used" Colorado Spotting Scope. Mine was only $54. It said like new but it was clearly just opened and returned everything was still in the plastic.
You are right, the Barska Colorado Spotting Scope is very similar to the Celestron Refractor. Im not sure what the difference in optics are but this one seems like a good value.
I just got one for $40 no tripod though. a 15-45 or 50 I believe. dude needed the money and it looks pretty nice. I'm only using out to about 100 yards anyways.
Thanks, your review helped me and I am probably for sure buying this scope now. I was planning on using it at anywhere from 100 to 500 yards or further whenever I can find a place to shoot further. But either way, thanks for this helpful review!
I got one at a yard sale today, and got it for $10, the down side is that there was no tripod. I have a big camera tpod but I'm looking for a table top tpod. Any ideas. Thanks Alfie
Alfie Hammerstrom Ya go to wal mart in the photo isle they have very small tripods. This has the standard camera screw on it so you can use any one you find there.
Hi, Luke. Thank you for your review. I am strongly thinking of getting this scope. However, I was hoping for a longer-legged tripod so I can view distant wildlife from a standing position. Any way this scope would work with a different, longer-legged tripod?
Luke Fosburg Thanks, I had a Best Buy gift card so I ordered the Barska model # CO 10998 25-75X75 off their web site. It was $88.80 with tax and free shipping to my local Best Buy. It should do the job and I didn't have to lay out any cash!
All spotting scopes people care how the picture quality is with or with the phone. I personally dont care about anything else cause thats all that matters picture quality 👌 💯
Can someone plz show actual photos or videos with the phone attached for picture quality of the scope. Thats all anyone really cares about is how it looks through a phone.
thanks for this review, I will buy one... you have a very nice background there... I envy you... Edit: Is this made in china? I read some reviews, it is made in russia or elsewhere...
I took this scope barska spotting scope first time today to my range .The magnification its terrible after 25 yards ,you can't see nothing .Honestly I can see better in my rifle scope like this spotting scope .Just don't wast you money on this product
i got one several years ago. different model same magnification. i can see hits on my target at 325yds no problem. thats the farthest distance at my gun range. at home i can read license plates on a jeep across the lake. my house is 350-375yds to water then maybe 100yds worth of water and then another 50-75yds to the jeep. maybe you got a dud or just need to focus.
Thanks for letting me know that the cardboard box is standard, because I wasn’t sure.
Glad I saw your video. Great review on the scope.

if you look at the strengthening of this scope is quite large 15-40x50
Can you see objects clearly from a distance of 2-3km?
Awesome Video dude! Thanks a bunch, I think I am gonna pull the trigger on this one...Would you say out to 600 consistently, it should be suffice.

Thanks, I had a small one and a tall one that works out great. Thanks for the input . I'm taking it to the range this weekend and trying it out.

buz47 Thank you! Im glad it helped.
This looks exactly like the Celestron 52229 60mmRefractor Zoom Spotting Scope.

MrAZConservative Yes! I used it on my camera tripod. It works great and it screws into a standard camera base
Great review! Thanks
Good review. Do you know the exact model number of that scope?
I am not sure. It doesn't have one on the body and I have thrown away the packaging.
