slug pups can actually do commands! by holding the down button and jumping repeatedly, your slug pups will stay in place. you can also tell them its "play time" by jumping without pushing any other buttons.
Funfact: Arti can hold two scugpups in hands ; if u have one in hand and one on the back u can hold grab to hold two in hands and then tap grab to hold another one
A couple commands for if you do something like this again -If you jump while holding down, the slugpup is told to stay in their location. -If you jump once without moving, the slugpup is told to play with the player. In this mode, the slugpup will stay closer to the player. -Jumping while holding up tells the slugpup to stop playing with the player.

from my knowledge, the only commands you can give to slugpups are stay and follow, i do not think there are any other commands.
