slug pups can actually do commands! by holding the down button and jumping repeatedly, your slug pups will stay in place. you can also tell them its "play time" by jumping without pushing any other buttons.
Funfact: Arti can hold two scugpups in hands ; if u have one in hand and one on the back u can hold grab to hold two in hands and then tap grab to hold another one

The id of the next creature goes up when the next one spawns. if you die the creatures that spawned before dont increase the number. AKA if you spawn a slugpup in the same cycle it will be the same slugpup

And holding up while jumping with no other inputs takes them out of play mode
from my knowledge, the only commands you can give to slugpups are stay and follow, i do not think there are any other commands.
