ATV Hot Tent Camping In The Cold | Russian Bear Market UP2

- In this video I had a great day out exploring on the ATV. I set up the Russian Bear Market UP2 hot tent for the coldest night so far this season. The temps during the day ranged from -3 F to 0 F and the night time temperature was below -13 F or -25 C. I cooked up some really good chicken fajitas and a awesome breakfast. I finally used the cot I bought a while back and had a super comfortable night. One of the best nights of sleep so far in the woods. Hopefully you enjoy the video and thanks for watching.

This is the first video of yours I have watched. My compliments on your choices of camp gear ……everything is top notch and obviously very well thought out. You’re very precise, neat, and orderly in the way you operate. I really enjoyed this first video! One observation I would make is to be a little more conversational in your tone as if you’re speaking to a group of your close friends. Again, that is very minor and your videos are top of the line. Keep up the great work!

You are super well equiped ! I'm guessing you have a good job ;) Your videos are relaxing . Maybe sometimes you could show more the surrounding . You must have a garage to dry your gear because its quite on the large size ! Quite a breakfast, with that you had all the energy needed to break camp ! Thanks for sharing your adventure
Thank you! I am a heavy equipment operator and work 70 plus hours a week all summer. It pays the bills and helps me buy gear I suppose. It takes a ton of room to dry my gear out after a trip. I have a 40x60 foot heated shop luckily. Gives me a place to work on my stuff and take care of my gear.
I would absolutely love to go hot tent camping in the snow one day! I am SOOO jealous! I live in south Georgia and we hardly ever even get snow flurries. I do get to go camping in cold weather but no snow.
I am SOOO proud to see that you use a fan to circulate the heat in the tent! So many people don't realize how much heat is in the top of a tent. It also lets you burn less wood to stay nice and warm.
Keep up the great videos and maybe one day I'll be able to snow camp and post one of my own!
Winter camping is one of the best times to camp. Its so quiet and hardly any people or bugs around. I also wish I had some of that Georgia sun on my face though. Winters can get a little long.

I've watched numerous videos of yours and I have to say you're a class act. Your camp setup is always organized, neat, and tidy. MEALS, we're do I begin. You eat with your mouth closed, not stuffed full, and you don't speak with your mouthful. Do you have any idea how many of these videos I watch were guys stuff their mouths to 135% capacity, chomp with open mouths, producing gross mastification sounds and then try to talk to a Camara set up for a close up of their mugs. It's just horrifying! So thank you for showing some class! Thank you for producing great videos and content. Cheers!

I really like the octagon insulated floor. Great concept for a hot tent. Shoveling around the skirting is always good idea. And small charging ports on the saw battery is way cool. The wood stove doubling as a cook top means more convenience and less to bring. I really like the flame proof glass for both light and seeing when its time to add a bit more. Thanks for the fun time having us along and great food even with pancakes. :) And i noticed the snow insulated the ground enough to pound in pegs.

When Its this cold out I usually feed the stove every 3 hours or so. I have a really good sleeping bag but its really nice having the fire going. Nice and cozy that way.

Glad your enjoying the videos! Its tough to beat ATV camping. It gives you the ability to bring the extra comfort items along. The spatula I was using is actually a titanium tong set called the "THE SPLITTER" If I were to buy more camping utensils I found a guy on Esty that makes some really great titanium stuff for camping. The trailer is a Otter Super Express 20. This ones over 8 years old and still going strong.
was that a stove fan and light ? never seen one like that, what make is it?
It's a light and fan designed for ice fishing and is made by Clam. It can run on usb or batteries.
How long did your fires last?
With the Pomoly dweller max 3 stove and some good hardwood I get about 3 hours of burn time.
You definitely didn’t sleep overnight in that.

Do you need all that stove pipe length???
The longer the pipe, the less chance of sparks landing on the tent.

@CatHound the spark arrestor gets most of the sparks but not all of them. Especially if you're burning any kind of pine for firewood. I use 3 guy lines to secure the pipe and haven't had a problem.

Man, sometimes I wish I was a trust fund kid. However, if I was id be on a beach somewhere. Probably in Bali or Dubai. I operate heavy equipment 70 plus hours a week in the summer. I try to invest and save as much as possible so I can take the winters off and enjoy the peace and quite. I don't worry about bears much in the winter. Especially, if I don't see any sign of bears while I'm out and about.
