- As Israel-Hamas war rages on, Iran unveiled a newer version of its hypersonic missile. The new missile is an upgraded version of Iran's first homegrown hypersonic missile named 'Fattah'. Iran claims Fattah-2 is capable of evading air defence systems with its high-speed manoeuvres. Tehran's claim is being seen as a veiled jibe at rival Israel which has several air defence systems. This comes after Israel recently intercepted a number of ballistic missiles fired by Houthis from Yemen. Watch this to know more.

The new hypersonic missile can travel at the crazy speed of 15 (6 minutes reaching Israel) mach per hour which means hardly any anti-air defence system in the world can intercept it. I hope Iran will not sell this technology to Russia and China as they may use it to hit Ukraine and Taiwan.

Not to mention the question of has this supposed super fast Iranian missile actually been verified in testing?..

That's only because of the overwhelming number of rockets fired at a given time. Any systems can be overwhelmed that way if the response time of the system isn't fast enough. Iron Beam has just been deployed. Let's wait and see how that goes. It works on light. It is a beam after all. Beams being light are the fastest response to an oncoming number of missiles, hypersonic or otherwise.
Hypersonic simply means faster than sound. This is a beam we are talking about, that is light, faster than anything else known to man.
