I had fake friends like that. I found out later that so many people at school disliked me because my "friends" were going around making up lies about me and telling them to random people at the school. They even had teachers bullying me. It's a terrible feeling. I've been out of middleschool for years now but thinking about it still hurts bad and still affects me negitavly even as an adult.

Im 30 and I've went through very similar things. Smh. You can show someone genuine compassion and kindness while the whole time they take and take while having envy and hate in their hearts towards you. I try to brush it off by realizing how we all betray God everyday so I look at it differently but at the same time I've cut these people off while forgiving them from a distance.
I always hear people talk about how the best years of their life were in high school and the things they did. To me, high school was the peak of childhood trauma. I've literally erased from my mind the years between 14-18. I've only ever had 2 best friends in my life, one I met in college and the other I met in my career. I don't take the word "friend" lightly.
95% of the people you associate with don't meet the minimum requirements to be labeled "friend."
CzarJuliusIII agree, I would NEVER want to relive those years. I would have been better off allowed to stay home and read my books than be forced to go to school. It was like prison to me.

I agree with you except my trauma started when I went to a different middle school from 6-7th grade m. But it was a ripple effect which caused lots of problems in high school. I remember getting bullied and the people I thought were friends were laughing at the jokes and what not.
