I don't think it was malicious. Just an honest statement based on logic. He is an American now. The average American doesn't speak french, or any other language except spanish sometimes. Spanish might help, but if the average American only knows English, they might be more likely to pronounce the words more wrong than someone who is used to speaking a language in a more similar class, like French, possibly. I'm no linguist.
Most singing instructor i've had were actually this sweet. We're very afraid of singing because most of us suck at it but these people never judge or say anything negative that could make you feel ashamed. I REALLYY wished i could afford a whole year of training because they're such a joy

I noticed that when it comes to singing it's generally easier to fake knowing a language since accents aren't as noticeable, but some sounds are difficult to replicate if your first language doesn't have anything similar sounding

I like this trend of content creators (Schlatt, Ludwig, etc.) trying to beat AI with the sheer power of human will, determination, and overcoming the anxiety of learning and honing new skills. I feel like it's the biggest stand against AI, maybe not in a technical sense but in a metaphorical sense. AI covers and AI generative content stems mostly from people trying to explore the options of what if's and the resignation that it can only be made through AI (not to mention, quickly too) since the likelihood of these actual people doing these activities and singing these songs and saying certain things, is very low. Now that real people are doing the human and admirable thing of stepping beyond their tropes and what is expected of them, as well as rediscovering and re-exploring old interests and potential skills to create profoundly beautiful things, it feels so refreshingly human and incredible. I don't care if people think it's not that deep. It feels remarkable and I admire these content creators for stepping up to the plate and showing everyone that the human spirit is unbeatable.
