  • I got my hands on some custom bound books done that were apparently bound by Lehmann Bookbinders in Kitchener Ontario which was the closest runner up choice from the one company that I ended up proceeding with.
I think they did a solid job and I'm seriously impressed.
Full Dislocuse: I did not bind these collections, I bought these online from someone else that bound these and made their own choices as to what they were findings and the options they chose.
Some of the binding choices here were not the same that I would have chosen, but I'm not going to blame the binders for that.

Awesome video! Also, I’m pretty sure I seen a video with that same harbinger, custom bind. Done by the “Hardcover Comic” channel.

Thanks! I had a great time doing those Comic binding projects and they were a long time in coming so when I had a chance to buy some that were already done I jumped at it to see what the difference was.

Yeah, the yellow XO Manowar was Hardcover Comic’s as well. Small world.

Before he passed away, my father scanned my vast comic collection to save on shipping costs when I moved to Italy back in 2001 to be with my wife. I have runs of various Marvel, DC, and indie titles, including CONAN in PDF format that I'd love to make into a custom hardcover. I've been shopping around for potential binders who can do a quality job with decent shipping costs. Many of the binders here don't have experience with comics, but I'm still searching, as I just learned about custom binding recently.

That’s quite the asset to have! In the front of one or two of these these the binder did include some pages that I’m sure we’re just color printouts so I’m sure in some way or form that has to be an option. Thanks for the post!

I'm surprised to see those Valiant comics in customs. Especially Harbinger wars II. Valiant made a great deluxe hard cover of that one

I was surprised too! I wasn’t aware of publisher editions but I was surprised because I don’t see a lot of Valiant in the shops I go to. I’m still surprised at the card-stock inclusions; they just look weird…

How do you find info on all of the issues needed for the story arc?

Good question! Sometimes I’m googling it, and other times I’m using the checklists that marvel or dc put out when they were doing their ads. The key is to always check the reference points in the stories when in doubt. The editors always made time to reference things in the books so I think that’s how most bloggers who are compiling lists for their websites find all their data.
