Just lost my mother who was mentioned in this song that's why I had to look for this song , it reminds me my mum Penina Anyango who passed away on this month .
So sad for the loss of your dear Mum, who is part of our history regarding the joy we have received from this wonderful music 🎶. May her soul rest in glory and honour. Condolences and greetings from Uganda 🇺🇬 🙏.
I was so poor but inspiring. Could only admired my colleagues enjoying this beautiful music. Original music. No hybridization. Real skills on guitar. Long live real music
During weekends, we used to go to downtown kutoka Eastliegh (Number 9, return used to be number 6), Isilii Usilie..) to River road. Music stores used to be many. I would stand by the store and listen to this benga music. That was in the mid to late 70s when I was in high school in Nairobi.
The benga music that will live to stand the tests of times! The gifted and talented musicians that put all what they knew best in music! Music that makes broken heart heal! Ooh how long do I long for those good old days!
Kawere Boys was a staple in my village in Tororo, Uganda, in the mid-70's. We would dance on 5 tracks straight: Joice Adhiambo, Miss Susan, William Ogembo, Owenga Asimy and Alfred Amatch. These songs served more than to entertain us; it provided a needed distraction from the reign of terror of the time.
Ooooh my God! Thank you very very very very very very muuuuuuuuuch for this song 🎵. I am finally back to my music history 🙌. Great music from Kenya 🇰🇪 by Cephline Kotula Ngodia and team.
