- What a game! The game kept me on the edge of my chair all the way. Thanks to Leon from BAS, for allowing me to put this highlight reel up. If you're reading this description before you watch the video, don't worry it is worth every minute of watching.

It really hurt Singapore and Malaysia development when the ABL stopped. The local league unfortunately is not yet competitive compared to vietnam, indonesia and thailand in SEA. But crowd support looks promising. Hopefully the league continues to get support from singapore basketball association
Singapore and Malaysia should join league. So have some rivalry and then have 1 import each to raise the bar but also give locals playing time.
Yeah hoping to get that support 😅
Thank you! Enjoyed this compilation!
Cheers!
rollercoaster of a game
YA IT WAS.
We support SEA basketball! Keep it up!
Thanks for the support!!
Singapore is literally just one city. Cannot expect much.
Yeah we are just a small city but we will get there someday!!
It’s a country tho
Singapore is highly developed country that gets things done. I'm sure they'll come up with a system and way to produce the talent if the people really embraced the sport... There are many countries with much smaller populations (Lithuania, Slovenia, Georgia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Latvia) that produce world class basketball players. If they can, I'm sure Singapore can.
I value your commentary because the camera is unable to zoom in to the players. When you call out their names, I recognised some of them.
Thanks! Glad you appreciate it…….. :)
nice video bro !
eh yo, what's up man. thanks, appreciate the love. hahaha
Nice vid. what league/level is this?
This is our Men's Open league!
Already subscribed...i`m new to Basketball....ive bought 2 Singapore Slingers jersey before
Thanks for the support!
am i the only one who noticed that the horn keeps going on when the hornets shoot. It seem like it was on purpose to make them distracted and fail their shots. but idk
Hahaha yeah that’s try
What was the food like at the snack bar?
Don’t think they had any food bars…
I think Leon has the most potential. V disappointed in Larry. He was once thought to be the future of sg basketball, together with Russel and Jabez. I watched many of Larry's game (club and national team 3 on 3). As a shooter, his shooting really CMI, 1 on 1 moves also CMI
i think your potential also quite big. can try go 1 on 1 him if he really so cmi. :)
@@kohzhicheng08 he is def btr than me. CMI just means not good enough to perform/shine. even at the club lvl, he is just a mediocre player (good role player but def not a superstar). mind u, he has been in the national team for 10+ years and as i said he was once considered to be the future of sg bball with jabez n rus. if his shooting and shot creating is so good, he wouldnt be struggling on the international stage (3 on 3 & 5 on 5). stats dont lie, go look at his fg %
@SEK , he is dog sh!t of a career bball player if his standard of measure is being better than a random youtube user in bball. dont entertain obvious clowns in the comment section, he prolly is the alt acc of that guy u mentioned whatever the f his name is. embarrassing
@@sek898 only when Leon is on form that he makes shots. Otherwise, nothing special about him.
there is no future for sg basketball
welcome to sg basketball
Welcome to the lion city
What are the team names? I can't really understand his accent
Adroit vs Engtant Hornets (yellow)
Do they get paid? How much ?
I don't think they get paid. But I coud be wrong!
How to get tickets
Normally they would put ticket sales on their Instagram (@basketballsingapore)
Is this like a semi-pro league? The players getting paid or just for fun?
Honestly, I don't really know LOL
should try play against Johor tiger
That’s probably gon be fun to watch hahaha
No surprise, just a small piece of land located in South Andaman sea ^^ It's so great seeing them playing sports and not just working so hard for living alone ^^
Ice one😊
Hot two
Wow awesome commentary video on sg bball bro u zai kia leh chio bu
Thanks! Appreciate the love.
nice
nice too
Singapore can import Filipino hoopers if they want to compete in basketball. They have the facilities but not the skills.
Singapore, the shipping hub of asia.
Good video. But there is no such thing as Flagrant foul in FIBA. Flagrant only applies in NBA an maybe PBA.
In FIBA we call that a unsportsman foul
Ah I didn't know that. I thought they were always the same thing hahaha that's good info! Thanks.
Slingers play in this league too?
Slingers is abl
Nah not this league!
would either of these teams be able to compete with D1 teams in the U.S.?
no way
even d3 would be a bloodbath lol
Not even touching high school
WELLLLLLL, maybe one day we'd find out. I'd like to see that happen. Singapore top level team vs D1.
Don't mention US, even within SEA they are having difficulties winning 😂
hella travels lol
do these players get paid?
Well, paid with happiness of playing basketball. LOL but honestly I’m not sure.
Lol,Why semis-final play BO3 but Finals only 1 game?
That's an interesting question. I don't actually know. My guess would be not enough eyeballs.
@@ownyourcourt Hi! Do you follow any pro basketball leagues outside of sg? Do you think something similar to Taiwan’s Plus.League here would work? I like your work(D1 final video) though.
@@UncleNelson Hey thanks for the compliments. Haha, I don't follow any other leagues as of now.
Weak but no choice. Keep up the good work
Thanks for the words of encouragement! Really means a lot.
Singapore does not sponsor its athletes or provide enough incentives for them to actually pursue bball full time so it is expected
@@drugaddict931 sooner or later, i believe the young generations will lead the sports into a higher level. Wealth and health 💙
This is the highest level? 😅
This isnt like sgp slingers in abl
Yes within national level this is the highest.
Yeah hahaha but everyone starts somewhere! To be great, you will have to suck. 🫡
荣达双华。城隍庙。亚电 . All at Gay World city
these guys will beat gilas in the next sea games!
!!! Let’s see that happen
Lol
It would be nice if you actually just let the game itself play instead of your commentary which tells the play before it happens...
I thought the commentary was great
Hey yo, thanks for the feedback - I guess different strokes for different folks. 😅 I'll try that out next time!
Appreciate it!
@@kissCharles information on the player n team is actually great here, but the play itself can be shown by itself if u get me, try having a look on most ballislife/overtime and other usa channels that covers mid- high school games, they gave u a feel on the court and wanted to follow it down all the way. Still NT and a good coverage for ppl outside of sg to know a lot more.
Just say it. It's cringe lol. U dont have to sugar coat ur words bro
Bunch of scrubs
🤨
…….
🤣👍
funny how you'd talk shit even though you probably only know how to scrub food stains off your oversized discord mod shirt
