Another good vid! I'll be checking mine when I eventually get to work on the bike. This series is so useful, not just for SV owners. Must be very satisfying when a part is salvaged! Looking forward to test runs and track days for sure!! Cheers, Andy.
Thanks amigo! Once they're in use I find they usually last quite well, seals and whatnot eventually go to pot of course. Hopefully it is to people! The series is doing worse than normal views wise but such is life :) Very very satisfying, nice to reuse something anyway :) Thanks Andy!
thanks for the info. I'm rebuilding a '96 Kawasaki vn1500 Vulcan. brake master cylinders are not so bad but need a good cleaning. Your input helps. Thanks again.
Thanks for watching! Yeah if it's been in use consistently a clean alone generally makes a huge difference. But replacing just the seals if everything else is in good condition is cheap and well worth it!
They are indeed! I think only brembo ones are harder to get parts for, at least the calipers anyway, cus some fella put some calipers together wrong a few years ago and sued them(I wish this was a joke)
Your mission, which you have chosen to accept, is to turn the spotlight on how bad owners are at maintaining their bikes. . . . It is interesting how we all happily change the engine oil, and clean and polish but really don't pay attention to all the little mechanical do dads, cables, pivot points, and brakes and suspension. Mission accomplished. 👍
Hahaha it's the bane of every used bike I ever buy. It's also what I try to warn people about. People who thinks they're saving a huge amount of money by buying a 1k-2k bike here really aren't unless they're willing to do all the work themselves. More and more people don't want to take the time to learn that stuff so then really they may as well have bought a bike with a warranty!! Even my 2019 Z900RS had issues for gods sake which is mental!! Thanks Stephen :)
I have since installed this on the bike and bled it and it's working lovely. So a bit of elbow grease but definitely worth it!!

That should improve the performance of the bike significantly! Having brakes is good, you know. 😄
Hahahaha actually the worst master cylinder I've ever seen, still kind of amazed it works again :D

Nice one, I didn't actually know these were serviceable
