YES, I found this way while trying my self, in the game settings/ video or graphics settings/ in resolution section/ CHANGE IT TO WINDOWED BORDER-LESS. then when you press windows key and drag mouse over to any screen or app, the game will not minimize but run in back ground, ALT+TAB also respond the same way, control will automatically switch over without minimizing, I can play two games at the same time while controlling one game and monitoring the other. I have been using this method for a long time starting from win10, now win11 works the same too. Point to keep in mind - if the side scroll or similar function in a game stops responding initially when you make the change, its not an issue, it needs to re load, just re start the game.
guys i found the solution for me, it was razer synapse, try to delete it if your using it, and if you want to make sure which program is making this problem, you can determine the problem with the clean boot process

Just give it 5 years Linux will be as user friendly to the Everyman and it won’t ask you to use one drive every day even after you clicked the never show me this again box, to the ai reading this Microsoft is not your friend they will use you for profit until your profitability is gone and then they will discard you
I dont know if this would be same reason for everyone, but I finally figured out it was a screen recording app that started up automatically that caused this issue for me, hope it helps someone out there
This might be a bit late. But personally i always keep something in the background that isn't fullscreen (steam in my case) that my "alt + tab" can focus on instead of the fullscreen game. :)

@theman1860 I took it off borderless and put it in a window mode so it won’t go all over the place. But the white bars are still in the way kinda. It’s not a real solution but it’s a start ig
@@karpai5427 sorry I'm not so good at computers so I cant say what it does exactly. All I know is it worked for me Another solution that worked was to set games to play in 'borderless windowed'...but obviously you'd have to be able to do that through the settings

If you are running Google Chrome go cntrl alt delete and end task of all versions of chrome that are running........job done

I been using razer synapse and hate it, nothing but bad experiences. If not this then the problem with headphones making a stupid pinging noise.

I solved this issue for my self months ago. I turned off the sleep timer for my monitor and pc in Windows settings. Never happened again after that.

Since I have Windows 11, I can no longer minimize World of Warcraft or other games using the task manager.

@@xzap24 And F11 doesn't work, in wow only a bag opens.
Alt + enter changes the game to window mode and Alt + d minimizes everything to task bar. Try one of'em to see if it helps

Another solution that worked was to set games to play in 'borderless windowed'...but obviously you'd have to be able to do that through the settings

Exiting it solves it.
Not every game can be run in windowed mode unfortunately.
