1. For this day, this was an entire chest workout. You don't need to lift chest for hours, that would be endurance type training which is impossible to build muscle with. 2. It's your form. Try pretending you are pinching a pencil between your shoulder blades when you lay on the bench. Your shoulders and upper back should remain planted on the bench through the full range of motion. At the top of the rep, all the tension should be on your pecs even when 'locked out.' Your grip may be too narrow as well.

Bro, Jonny, you'll fuck your chest up with the flies. they're not even chest flies, they're coracobrachialis flies & one bad rep, could cause a torn pec. it's all physical therapist terminology, jeff cavaliere from athlean x goes into more detail, you should check out his video on 5 of the worst execises.
But just cause it doesn't cause you problems now, doesn't mean it won't in the long term. And you don't know how the body works. Yes it is a dangerous exercise & it can cause a torn pec.
