Princess de Réthy's love history is marked by her controversial marriage to King Leopold III of Belgium in 1941, during World War II. The marriage, which took place under German occupation, led to public controversy and played a role in King Leopold's eventual abdication in 1951. Despite the controversy, they had three children together and remained a part of the Belgian royal family. Princess de Réthy continued to be a prominent figure in the family until her death in 2002.

Princess Lilianne has an awfull reputation, one of her daughters gave several interviews what a terrible mother she was, her son didn't dare to marry his girlfriend Leia until she died, she wasn't 'good' enough (princess Leia is in fact a lovely woman) , the old king and Lilianne robbed the palace clean, when Boudewijn and Fabiola were on honeymoon, they came back to an emply palace... and she has sold so many of the jewelry, without offering a chance to the Belgian family to buy them back. I knew about the cartier tiara being sold to cartier again, the other two missing tiara's I didn't now existed. awfull that they are gone.

Thank you another history lesson in jewels from royal families. The jewels are fantastic and it is sad when jewels are not know where they are. If in Queen Fabiola vault is full of treasure open them up and take advantage of some new jewelry. I know I would. Last a question then tiara at the end was that an Amethyst center?
