Wow, great locos! Although I, myself will probably not attempt trying to do it, how do you get all of the 'instructions' to build these marvellous engines? (I am sure you don't know it off the top of your head XD)
The majority of live steam builders work to published sets of drawings, the work of a few talented mostly now deceased men. A few builders design and build their own locomotives.
