    I like the way you show the bike. The vid presents very well. And the way mount your electrical component is a great solution. Well done. On everything.

    I am staring with envy at this bike.
    My father used to have new CB750 when he was university student.

    Fantastic bike! So many great decisions have gone into it! That's one very lucky client.

    Very nice build indeed. Retrofitting that triumph hub in there is pretty awesome.

      MrSlowestD16 We couldn't agree more. Ironic that a hub which such a bad reputation for stopping power (it was nick named the "comical hub") was actually very beautiful. Dustin did a great job incorporating it into the bike's design.

    I like the two seats thing that’s kinda cool to be able to switch between solo and a two seater

    Fantastic bike... It has really captured my imagination. Would love to have it. Only 2 things I don't like. #1 Hate the Kott logo being riveted to the tank(That logo needs a make over also) #2 Think I would design a slightly diff tank under the seat. Other than that love it. Love the nakedness of the top of the forks, the front wheel, the under tank packaging. The rear plate/chain guard. It is so cool. I might be tempted to play with the rear shocks a little but they would probably end up as is now. fantastic work. 5 ichiban stickers. Ok 6.

    Looks like you are going to run out of wheel gap before you run out of suspension travel resulting in rear wheel lockup. I'd suggest extending the shock eye to eye to gain more clearance. great craftsmanship

    hey Dustin! see you at the handbuilt show?

    • @themotochannel
      @themotochannel  9 років тому +1

      Ichiban Moto Yeah he's going to be there as an invited builder. He may bring a custom Triumph Thruxton that he built for a pretty well known actor. He usually only builds bikes based on 1970's Japanese so it's a bit of a departure. Have fun in Austin, we can't make it so we're definitely jealous!

    great video, love the details on this bike especially the seat and the clean wiring. About the wiring, doesn't the rectifier and regulator have to be exposed so they could cool down with the wind?

    • @themotochannel
      @themotochannel  9 років тому

      Pablo Cortes Great question. Obviously Dustin doesn't think so or he wouldn't have put them under the gas tank. But usually on stock bikes they are located where cooling air can move over them, and they even have cooling fins don't they? Maybe other viewers can comment based on experience.

  • @lecrocq
    @lecrocq 9 років тому +3

    Hi, does anybody know where to find the wiring component that Dustin used on that bike under the tank? That's very clean...
    Motogadget equivalent is quite expensive...
    Thanks,

    Am I crazy or are there no passenger footpegs? This is always my reservation for not running re-positioned rearsets, I don't want to lose the capability to have a passenger.

    This bike has no fork stabalizaiton is that because the triple tree is so low?

    • @themotochannel
      @themotochannel  9 років тому

      Craig Parrish Not sure what you mean by low triple tree but Dustin possibly didn't include a fork brace for reasons of style rather than for reasons of functionality (i.e. it looks better without a fork brace). Of course we are just speculating.

    • @halfnelson6115
      @halfnelson6115 8 років тому

      I thought the triple tree looked high, not low. The clip-ons are mounted low. Maybe that's what I'm seeing.

    • @themotochannel

      +Abdel Bawazer Kott removed the stock passenger pegs. It's designed for solo riding only. This design seems typical of cafe racers.

  • @watcher13th

    You guys are ruining great vintage bikes... Why don't you just restore them? You take original pieces out, install Chinese crap and hope it'll run ok. Then you make it really impractical and uncomfortable, all for looks? This bikes are irreplaceable, they aren't being made any more. Think about it.
