    I have just brought a 2012 GSR 750 waiting for it to come down from the North Island of New Zealand to where I live in Dunedin in the South Island. I am 58 years old and just sold my brilliant 07 FJR 1300 to get the GSR which is much more suitable when now most of my riding is around town.I thought I might give bikes away after riding for 41 years but that stupid idea lasted for one week.

    Can you guys do a new version of this with the newer gsx-s750 and gsx-r750. It would be interesting to see

    • @Blockbuster2033
      @Blockbuster2033 6 років тому +2

      well its probably more fair to compare the gsx-s750 to the gsx-r600. It would also be interesting to remove the fairings off a gsx-r750 and put a straight bar on it and see how it is to ride haha

      @@Blockbuster2033 between a gsxs 750 and a gsxr 600 which is better I wanna buy one

      @@whodat4265 There is no better or worse between the two, they are just different. Short answer: take the gsxs if you ride primarily on the road and thake the gsxr if you ride primarily on the track.

    Interesting - at 2:02 the licence plate is KYII UGK - - that is my Son's bike on test afore he bought it Feb, 2015. MCN was testing the Suzi at Brands Hatch, but it's now safely ensconced in Warwickshire!

    don't think they ever gotten a boom operator its mostly the same guy holding the camera that does the sound. He just need to buy a proper mic.

    I was there that day, and it was truly lovely, weather was nice, track was hot, tyres got ripped to shreds. Met the MCN riders and Keith Flint who was also there that day.
    They picked a good day to test bikes at Brands.

    @TheRonnieBecks I have been thinking lately that if I do upgrade from a 600 that it most likely wont be a 1000. I would be very interested in buying the GSXR750 if it came in the same colors as the GSXR600 which certainly looks better! Though im sure it wouldn't be too hard to replace some of the bodywork to match..

  • @ndperson1

    Would be awesome if they would do this again with the newer versions of the bikes. I got myself a hold over gsr 750 for a steal, but was originally looking for the new version. I like it alot more than many other reviewers have, but getting it for the same price as a Yamaha r3 or ninja 300 helps.

    • @ndperson1

      I have always liked motorcycling, but the newer supersports have priced themselves out of my price range. I really do like these naked bikes, and they are way more affordable. Got mine about 2 weeks ago, but still got almost 1700 miles on it despite working the two weeks and be out of town for some of it for work. Just wish some mountains were close

    I have a gsr 750 ABS 2012 and i use it as an everyday commuter bike and i have to say its superb,Its more than quick enuf,handles and stops well and i give it some stick and its returning 45 mpg.
    and i havent found it to stand up under corner braking

    Being stuck in the US, I can't buy the GSR 750... Personally, I would love to have both... then I would need nothing else - ever. Already own a 2008 GSXR 750, so I am half - way there !

    @calaiscruiser I agree with you there. I had a GSR600 and really liked the look of it but the GSR750 looks like it's missing a belly pan the cover the exhaust. I'd prefer the GSXR.

  • @calaiscruiser
    @calaiscruiser 13 років тому

    in the real world they are both as usefully capable for everyday road duties as each other.. it would come down to personal preference.. I personally would take the GSX-R750 because I much prefer the styling, equipment levels and sportier riding position. Not a fan of the more upright riding position..

  • @Venat0rNoctis
    @Venat0rNoctis 13 років тому

    Can't expect much from it on the tracks since it was developed solely for everyday riding that's why it was aptly called a "NAKED STREET BIKE".
    Its engine was designed based on that of the GSX-R 750 but was tuned with emphasis on the low-end & mid-range torque for great acceleration that's needed on city streets. Which means, it has faster acceleration meant for a short dash or shorter distances.
    They're doing laps on the tracks, why don't they do a 100m or 200m drag race instead?

    Putting an apology for the bad sound quality is just unprofessional and an excuse for poor direction/ filming etc.
    Why not just redo the shoddily recorded sections after listening back to them on site?
    Badly recorded sound has been a fault of MCN videos for a long time - it's a pity, becuse they are sometimes quite informative.

    the only thing that matters to me when it comes to comfort for me is the seat, if its not perfect my ass gets sore as hell in less than an hour, i think its because i have below average blood pressure.
