Very nice tutorial! A few important things to note: - press G to turn off the grid and place struts freely - if you have trouble selecting a strut (perhaps because it is hidden behind a device), try first selecting one of the nodes it is attached to, and then hover over the strut again
Well it is not really needed to play the game, this only comes in when you're trying to get to a higher level gameplay, you can complete all the hard missions without it and in most online matches you will do just fine focusing on more basic stuff.
I really love watching fort videos and this kind of gives me some insight into what goes on when someone uses these techniques - it always looks so crazy but now it makes sense.
Hi, i have 2 question ? 1. Where did you find the information about the percentage ? I mean, how did you know it's 10% and 8% of the length of a strut to break ? I checked the game files and i'm able to see a difference of "0.08" and "0.10" according to "MaxCompression" and "MaxExpansion" but are not in percentage and don't seems to be linked to the length so i wanted to know. 2. You said that it was "4.36" and i wanted to know where you find that because i got 3 variables called "StandardMinLength", "StandardMaxLength", "StandardMaxLinkLength" and the results are : 37.5, 150, 218 and i'm not able to find a number "4.36". You did a really good job and i'm not saying that this is completely false because it's not, i'm just asking to know where you got these results because i'm curious :D otherwise thank you a lot for this tutorial.

Epic tutorial, very accurate, extensive, and flawlessly animated
Glad you like it. And once again, thanks for the assistance in making this!
this was completely lacking in the game tutorial itself. thanks

I'm pretty sure a video using this technique to build some insanely looking fort would definitely get a bunch of attention, or at least mine
Best video I've seen yet, THANK YOU
That's very well done, nice work :)
The animations and straight to the point approach is beautiful!
I thought I knew what stability tech was.
As it would turn out, I did not know what Stability Tech was.
I now know what Stability Tech is. >:3
Cross bracing is what people knew back then, now we have developed The Stability Tech

Couldn't get any of these double struts to work. I'm guessing it's because this exploit has been patched.
Nothing from this tutorial was patched out. Everything still should work. Which part exactly are you having an issue with?
