Is firing crackers really a Hindu tradition, on which governments and judiciary are reluctant to put ban because of its so called religious connection? They fear the displeasure of people because they believe that it’s Hindu festival of Diwali? I believe we really need to introspect, is Diwali really a festival of crackers or it is festival of light symbolising conquest of truth over evil dark. I mean if we claim our Sanatan Hindu tradition as worshiper of nature and natural elements then how we have adopted this kind of celebration method which disturbs the entire ecology from unicellular organisms of soil to entire flora and fauna uptwo stratospheric atmosphere. No creature in entire ecosystem remains undisturbed because of sound shock waves and pollution of those crackers, and we consider it as our festival? It seems this is purely a blind imitation of british celebration of Christmas which was deliberately promoted by british rulers to increase their sale of crackers made in british owned factories. Just look at those people who fire the crackers in trees and plants, even tie the crackers in tails of animals and see the super insensitivity and cruelty of those people and children in name of festival celebration. Just imagine the pain that would be felt by birds and other creatures being felt when crackers are fired in trees. Imagine the life threatening discomfort being felt by lakhs of patients of respiratory disease. This can never be a Hindu tradition. There is clear hand off cracker factory owners and lobby of Chinese suppliers behind protest of cracker ban. People have to understand that Diwali is festival of light symbolising victory of good virtues and truth over evil dark. Let’s win against our inner dark of ignorance and insensitivity towards nature. Let’s make our children wise, understanding and caring towards other people and nature. Let’s enlighten our houses with beautiful series of lights and other decorations of India made products so that employment in those MSME is increased. Let’s donate new clothes and good food or other affordable and needful commodity to poor people to make their life easier. That will be like enlightening their lives and I think best way of celebration of our beautiful festival.

This time around there has been an increase in crackers sale, confirmed by one of Shivakasi businessman. Even the pollution levels were low next day after Diwali.
Pollution was low because of speed of wind this time. Normally on this time the speed of wind is low and the pollution gets accumulated. We can’t imagine the suffering of lakhs of patients of respiratory diseases.
@@shaktimaan1064who is bursting the crackers now? Why is the condition so bad? Wind was one of the factor and it wasn't blowing across the country, almost all the crackers sold were of Green category that helped in reducing air pollution. More people bursted the crackers than last time. Stubble burning and vehicles are the main reasons for air pollution for which no one does anything, it's very easy to target a thing that has least contribution as crackers are not bursted through out the year. Such type of hypocrisy and double standards have brought us to the current condition nothing would improve unless we address the real reason.
@@akshayshelke9784 Burning fireworks for 2 or 3 days once in a year doesn't cause pollution at an extreme level. Pollution and Air Quality is deteriorating because of successive pollutants released everyday. Vehicle emissions, Natural gases, Industrial gases are the major causes and along with unplanned urban development.

Reason of pollutions are not firecrakers, Contribution of firecrakers in pollution is negligible. Main reason of pollution is Dust and Constructions, waste burning, transport , diseal generator, industries, domestic cooking...

Price and not environment is reason, check retail prices of crackers, they crack you up•
Is firing crackers really a Hindu tradition, on which governments and judiciary are reluctant to put ban because of its so called religious connection?
