I preordered the deflector flight stick the second Glen announced it. Im still amazed with the price and all the wiring options. I will say it plays flawless with Glens base over the stock 1up base.
I have glens base, I just didn’t solder the wires. So I used the stock base.
@@thetechbuzz I tried using the stock base first. It didn’t seem to be making consistent contact with the switches. I noticed I could plunge the stick down into the base and it had tighter and more solid contact. It seems to me it sits to high in the stock 1up base. I know that’s not what is really going on
Yea my GRS stick got hot and the lights burned out
Sounds like you had a defective unit. I've had it on for testing for a week straight, and never had an issue. I'm sure Glen will replace it.

I installed one and it is definitely pretty warm. How warm does it typically get? Worried about burning it out like on this post
Yes the spinner was a must for me as my tron spinner broke after very little play. the 3d file was a nice touch. Made it easy for me to 3d print. My tron stick on the 1up is still working, but just in case I purchased Glen's version. Actually bought 2.

Very good review 😌🍷 I got one of each as well, and you confirmed my thoughts about the flight stick arriving SUPER early. Quick question, though… did your stick come in a box package or a plastic “baggie” in a padded envelope? No complaints, it’s all there, and it’s all good. It’s just that the packaging for all Glen’s stuff I’ve gotten up to now has been pretty slick and solid. My first thought when I opened mine was “Did someone open my package and toss the box??” 😅
I have a big issue with the T-stick flight controller being too small. My big hands can grip it. It’s uncomfortable so I ended up not using it. Also the spinner sensitivity needs adjusting and you can’t just adjust it in the Windows configuration app. I’d also like to know how Glen lit up the spinner mount. I got mine printed in clear blue PLA but have no idea how to light it. Glen said he would offer a lighting kit but never did. Do you use regular LED button bulbs daisy chained?
First off, the flight yoke is the same size as the one that comes with it except with better quality. Second the spinner doesn’t have extra control features because 1up is a cheap company and didn’t want to work with Glenn to add it. Which comes to my answer for the third part about the leds. I didn’t add any leds. What is on mine is what came stock. Glenn didn’t offer the led set because again, 1up stole his stick design, cut him out, decided not to work with him and steal his design. So there you go.
@@thetechbuzz the stick is literally 3/4 the size of the stock A1up. I own it. Put it in my deck and it was too small to grip. Went back to the stock stick and did the Yeksun mods to prevent it from ever breaking. Glen also stopped selling the Tron spinner top. Would have been nice if he released his spinner with support for making it less sensitive for A1up Tron but he seems to not care about selling the product to customers who are using it for their A1up Tron. That’s no reason to literally “stick it” to his customers. I bought many of Glen’s products and while they are of nice quality there is always an issue that keeps it from being a useable working solution and I won’t be buying any more of his stuff. I’m sorry John D threatened Glen with lawsuits but the new management at A1up is trying to make things right with Glen again. When T-sticks and A1up start playing nice again maybe I will consider buying their stuff again.
@@decadentdave bro they don't care about Glen or his products. 1up only cares about how it looks publicly. He doesn't care about selling them to 1up customers. They are for customers building their own cabinets or buying other DIY kits. He's not "Sticking it" to his customers. He, out of the goodness of his heart, made it work. I have the original tron stick too, it's not much bigger. IF YOU REALLY want to get technical, it's about 1/2" bigger. That's about it. Your mad at Glen, fine, don't take it out on him in my comments.
