how do you add 2 spot colours, so Spot1 white, then Spot2 Varnish, do you have to do both in different layers, and what order do they need to be in. very top white, second varnish ?
They will need to be identified as spot colors. You don't necessarily have to worry about the orders of your layers. If we are talking about the V7000, then the spot will be recognized and you can choose the order in which it is placed by simply choosing to print forward or backward.
I've got a 700w, and I'm trying to print a white fade on clear. Using Onyx, it just prints a white block and doesn't do a fade. I'm just going around in circles. The idea is the client wants a solid white base that slowly goes to a fade to clear as it gets to the top of the panel.. Any ideas?
Hello @blindfreddy, you will want to create a spot layer that has a gradient to it. This can be done in Illustrator, but we can't speak to the process. This video should help ua-cam.com/video/sCsUd2fqfLU/v-deo.html
Hi Alexander, I believe you're talking about choking your white so it doesn't peak out from behind your image. This can be done on most RIPS. If your heads are aligned well, then your typical ink restriction should be around -2pxl
