The Supra is a car from the 90s and with what brand did Toyota share the 2JZ? None😂. Lamborghini and Audi can share their engines the Audi R8 is a car that did not exist in 1994 when the Supra Mk4 came out. If you cant make something as good as a mk4 Supra then dont make a new Supra in the first place. Ruining these names is absolutely disgusting

the only reason some old supras had good power is because people modded them. the mk5 isn’t that bad at all, it’s just people like you afraid of change.
nowadays if you wanted a fast supra going for the new one is the only option unless you want to mortgage your house. you can buy the mk5 supra and get it to high horsepower for far far less than to try and find a good condition mk4 supra and hope no one abused the engine too much so you can boost the power. also the b58 engine is pretty good

They kept the formula; 2 doors, 6 cylinders, rear-wheel-drive, manual. They literally just used BMW's parts because developing a whole new engine doesn't make any sense, and the Z4 is an amazing sports car, too.

Its a BMW Engine and Toyota could have just installed the Old 2JZ in New one,Tuned it a bit or heck even gave it a more sporty Filter and Sold it to us.
Nope its a BMW Engine.
Who cares of Part availability from BMW if they will sell it to you 2x the amount then the aftermarket parts for the 2JZ??
Toyota HAD a good Engine they could have used,a very famous Engine,sadly they fell for the Cartel of German Automotive industry.
As of today I drive a Hyundai i30N with the 2.0 Turbo Gasoline Engine.
A Engine that has been used from 2017-2024
