    Explaining the polarity of the magnets will be nice. Also adding a circuit diagram would make this video better

    A differential between the coils and magnets on your rotor will make self starting much easier.

    Do all four coils have the same polarity facing inward? And if so, are they repelling against the magnets? Thanks.

    I like this video, it has a bit more depth in the explanation than usual.

    Is it better to have higher current through coil or more turns with less current?
    Btw great video!

    • @ludicscience
      @ludicscience  6 років тому +1

      It depends on what you want, higher current will give you more torque but drains the batteries faster

    I learn so much from your videos! Have you done any videos that show a comparison using different number of turns, different wire gauge, different size magnets? Would be great to see differences all on the same motor set up

    You should try the circuit inside one of those solar dancing toys that people use in their car/shop windows. They send pulses through a pancake coil to move the magnet.

    can we use the magnets from the toy dc motor rather than using neodymium.. if the answer is no plz provide a link from where i can buy it (india)

    Very well explained, thank you. Could you please make a similar video to explain the calculation for Wind Turbine. I mean how to calculate Coil Size, thickness, magnet size etc.
    And a similar calculation for Delta and star power output from the turbine. Thanks a lot

    Put a small ferrite core (or soft iron) in each coil i have increased the efficiency of these types of "motor" with this method (from flybacks best ferrite mix)!

    what about using a joule thief?
    Also does it have a limit of how many turns you can put in the coil? you have 1000 so what if it was 4000 would it be 4 time more efficient then you wont need a capacitor?
    lasersaber channel shows how with just the heat from his hands the move the motor.
    his motor ran under 20 nano amps
