  • In conjunction with ‪@MaunMotorsVanSales‬, this video shows how to monitor the level of AdBlue on later Euro 6 Iveco Daily vans, to prevent vehicles unnecessary entering limp home mode due to insufficient AdBlue.
From model year 2019 (versions with full colour trip computer screen on dashboard & steering wheel with cursor controls), Iveco Daily vehicles have a problem which arises when the AdBlue levels drop to 20% or lower. Instead of just bringing up a warning of low AdBlue, the vehicle software brings up an engine management warning light on the dashboard, and puts the engine into a low power, damage limitation mode known as "limp home mode", or "limp mode".
This can be costly for the driver, because the vehicle can only be brought out of limp home mode by visiting a workshop with a diagnostic computer, after you have topped up the AdBlue tank. This can be a costly and time-wasting process - especially for something which is entirely and easily preventable.
Unfortunately, topping up the AdBlue alone is not enough to extinguish the dash warning lamp and bring the vehicle out of limp mode and back to normal operation!
It's easy to avoid the AdBlue level dropping below 20%. This video briefly explains how to monitor the AdBlue levels in an Iveco Daily. so that you can ensure it remains above 20% capacity at all times, so you can avoid this potential issue.
