    there is an electronic bleed procedure that you can do so you dont have to run the vehicle. click engine start once, turn heater on the highest temp, with lowest fan speed, and turn off the ac button, and floor the throttle past the kickdown switch, for 15 seconds. youll then hear the water pump activate and itll bleed it perfectly, takes about 12 minutes.

    Nice work you forgot to add the how to bleed you system. Air pockets in the cooling system can cause it to over heat. There’s a procedure on the inter webs

    Great vid. So you fill the whole system through the overflow tank? That must take forever.

    Great camera work, editing and walk though. Thank you. Just curious why the radiator needed replacement on a fairly new car?

    Work around for transmission cooler or maybe they are high pressure condensor lines attached to fan shroud?

    My 528i is leaking coolant. I wish you could fix mine! I have to get it towed to the city. The small town where I live doesn't have any BMW mechanics.

    What size O rings are Those and can I get them at local part store ...I'm waiting for radiator to come in mail...I've replaced thermostat water pump and realize the radiator is leaking and smoking once it gets up to temperature and at one point was leaking from passenger side hose that has o ring .... and what's that section below radiator?
    Thanks in Advance and thanks for video

    When i removed the radiator fan to replace the serpentine belt, belt tensioner & both pulleys i notice near 2 of the bottom radiator hoses left and right side had some green/yellow gooey harden stuff around the hoses. Either both hoses are leaking coolant or the radiator has pin holes on the exact locations on both size (yeah what are the odds!) 😂 causing coolant to spray out during pressure. Fortunate the oem hoses and radiator are cheap to replace my self!

      LaloMan sounds like the hoses are leaking. Or the hose clamps

    Can you do the same thing for an F02 750Li? I'm having trouble getting the fan out, it has WAY more stuff attached to it than the F10.

    Can you explain to me how did you drain the radiator? I know there is a plug under the car but i dont know how it works..what do i need to do?

    • @HowtoAutomotive
      @HowtoAutomotive  4 роки тому +3

      Hrvoje Goospeed start by removing the radiator cap. Then take off the under shields. Now on the bottom of the driver side of the radiator will be a blue plug that you can stick a Phillips screwdriver in and rotated counterclockwise.

    Yes,Why do u have to replace everything.can you just cut the clamps that are holding the upper hose n just put a hose that would fit there n replace the hose clamps instead of replacing all the hose attachments. Thats what i did.

    If this was a 535i, your bleeding was done incorrectly. It has a electric water pump whichwill bleed tthe whole system before even starting the car!
