My question is that how to calculate power consumption when the project draws variable current at different times( not fixed mA).

Thank Herman Hermitz I know. For The Arduino Maker Man I use UA-cam as a secondary source, the primary source of information is in my blog www.thearduinomakerman.info/ . The blogs are more comprehensive, but some people learn better when using video's. This is why I create these videos too.
