- Los Angeles Football Club Major League Soccer's newest club, and arguably its coolest. With celebrity owners, superstar players, and great fans, they're aiming to be one of the best in the league.
COPA90 US is North America’s voice in the global soccer conversation. We're here to share how football feels and passionately tell the stories no one else does, in our region and beyond. This is the soccer generation that we're building together.

Would you like to have Will Ferrell be the owner of your club?
COPA90 US he'd do a better job then west hams owners
No because FC Barcelona are a fan owned club
Anyone’s better than precourt
Burn!
up the Hammers!
if the mls introduces promotion and relegation, i‘ll watch it. everything is there. fans, rivalries, more and more recognition, a own idendity. i just need a league system and i am in it
Not supporting American soccer right now as is while fighting for change means you are part of the problem.
@@myboyblue4383 I think it's more about sending the right message. The MLS right now isn't a real league as viewed in the rest of the world. If there's no relegation then what is at stake ? It lacks a lot of drama.
It seems more set up to makes the team owners happy, not trying to have the best possible football.
LA Galaxy is the club of LA!!
Very cute
Way Better than Chelsea, Man City and PSG put together.
I love the black and gold colors they go well together
so sick
More like bronze
masterofsoccer1 raptors did it first...
masterofsoccer1 like Germany 2010 WC 2nd shirt
Saints did it before them
I grew up in L.A and I've never felt connected with the L.A Galaxy, never cared about it. With L.A.F.C, i feel a connection, I feel like it really represents L.A.
Oscar Rodriguez same
Who did LA Galaxy represent then?
ElNinoFutbolista carson
Renzo Glover oh fuck. Didn't know Carson was that big then. Thanks for the info m8
ElNinoFutbolista yessir
This is almost like the rise of Manchester city vs the historic Manchester United
L.A Galaxy all the way 🤙🏻👌🏻
All that money and still playing on AstroTurf
I'm Rick Harrison & this is my pawn shop fgt I mean they are from LA so natural grass is tough to maintain
Spray 'N Pray not when you got 💰
the stubhub center is grass so is san jose's stadium so how would lafc be that different.
I work in a landscaping company literally installing real grass all over LA. Its not that hard to maintain lol
I'm Rick Harrison & this is my pawn shop fgt ikr. The most beutifull.grass firld i have ever felt was in azteca. Like a fuckin carpet
You can't just create or build a "cool club". It has to evolve on it's own. Clubs without tradition are nothing.
Traditions come with time and LAFC is starting off well
So Atlanta United is nothing? Yh they were horrible their first game but bounced back in the second
Jorge Chamorro what does this video have to do with Atlanta lmao
The club is 2 and a half yrs old they ain’t the coolest club in the world hardly the coolest club in the mls let alone the western conference
I'm Rick Harrison & this is my pawn shop fgt Eastern*
this is cool and all..... but idk man i feel like theyre trying too hard. its a new team. theyre acting like loyal fans of a team thats been around forever
I guess people are just tired of only having the Galaxy, L.A is HUGE, and the Galaxy for the most part, doesnt interest people in most of the L.A areas i work in. (and I work all over L.A). LAFC is the alternative and probably best positioned to rep L.A since its in the heart of L.A. and most of the community only follow Liga MX or a South American league instead of watching the Galaxy. IMHO.
Galaxy is too far to be considered L.A. weve been waiting for a real L.A team
I paused at 2 mins 10 secs to jump in comments. Then resume only to see someone vaping. Idk man..i think that sums up LAFC
LA Galaxy fan here... May we have a long, heated and a passoinate rivalry together!
Cheers for football in LA!
But how can people be fan of a club that never played a single game before?
VTX73 I think there are college football teams that get promoted to the mls
Because it's part of your city.
@@guimach indeed, it makes my blood cook you know. I think it's a MLB, NHL and NFL thing but that's not the way football should be treated. Can't take them serious anyway I don't look around at them and can't take any footballer serious that plays there
@@Anderson-yn4or lmao no
One of the owner said it: "building this brand"....this is a joke of a club.
so how much they pay Copa90 for this?
MLS used to own Copa90 US, so...
Plus UA-cam's owner is one of the owners of LAFC, and UA-camTV is their shirt sponsor. So it's more like UA-cam paid LAFC to be featured on this channel.
The amount that uefa pays them
FVNGVSS !! The hype is too forced
FVNGVSS !! So a football channel can't make a video on the new club with hype behind them? If they didn't they wouldn't be doing their job right and other channel's would be getting the views...
FVNGVSS !! Hey! This is better tan chivas supporters and more than half of liga MX fans😂😂😂
I've been following Galaxy since 96 . When the stub hub didn't exist and they braught me lot of joy as a kid (from Cien Fuegos to Cobi Jones to Jorge Campos to El Pescadito to Donovan to Beckham . No matter what I will always bleed blue and gold . I live about 5 minutes from the lafc stadium and when I pass I just think wow nice stadium but how long will it last ?? One bad season and they will choke like chivas usa.. I agree lafc is a club with a nice jersey and a nice stadium but really you have no history in the league and your fans come packed in many at the moment because you are new to the league same as when chivas usa was born..... the real fan base for LA is the Galaxy fans never stop believing and will never erase those good memories of the history they created in Los Angeles. Lafc fans sorry you couldn't relate since 96 it's a shame you all missed a higher part of joy that the Galaxy gave us .
carlos passarelli preach
Carlos vela is not a superstar😂😂😂
Chivas U.S.A*
Rafael Flores LEGEND ! 😂
Rafael Flores wym?
Passionate fans, refreshing to see from a European, hope the sport continues to grow in the US
Abid Mo and canada. Dont forget canada
American football is what every other football fan around the world hates about the current shape of the sport lmao
Bear The Nomad what about canada? MLS is also canadian.
Coolest club in the world?? Child pls
Giancarlo Torres hit’em with that chad ochocinco
As someone from the LA area, I was always a casual fan of the Galaxy. Everyone knows how important the LA Galaxy is not to just MLS but soccer in the US. But I have been following LAFC from the start and I have never felt more of a connection to a team than LAFC. Everything about this team works. From the colors to it's roots in Los Angeles. LAFC is something that the Galaxy, for all their success could never be.
Not hating, just asking. Wouldnt it feel A LOT better by having the team you supported for years to promote to the first division by actual sporting success? For me it would feel really hard to support some team that just pops out of nowhere one day.
I live in Australia and I don't even have a local team to support in our nations league. If one were to come into existance one day I'd support it fanatically from day one, history or not. You gotta start somewhere
Luke Santospirito the A league and MLS are both growing substantially. But there needs to be reformation
Anthony Long what do you mean?
Luke Santospirito pro-rel.
That doesnt exist in the A-league. I dont even know if there are lower divisions there. It’s sad because australia has produced some talented players lately.
Anthony Long I agree we need at least a second division to be taken seriously. But at the moment we have 10 teams and it often seems we have barely enough talent or interest to support them, let alone 6-10 more. It's going to be very difficult imo
Never thought I'd be watching MLS games but this team has made the difference.
Why tf doesn’t San Diego get a MLS team? We need it. It’s a gold mine down here. LA doesn’t need another team
West Coast Digital y’all couldn’t even keep the Chargers man come on now
You guys have Tijuana
jorge murillo don’t get me wrong I like TJ, but it would be nice to actually be able to use that stadium for an actual team. Like now the only times I go to Qualcomm is when Mexico plays here
Gianfranco Abrego the Chargers can kiss my ass. Like yea I’ll agree with you with your statement but with them gone it would be nice to have a use for that stadium other than the Mexico international games that they have like every 2 years..
LOL I'm dead
Bob Bradley How the hell did he get job at a club that wants to win the league...
steven clark not his fault Swansea are eternally shit
You know he’s already won an MLS title, right? And that was in year one of an expansion team, which is exactly the situation here. LAFC was smart to hire him. He knows MLS really well.
Because in MLS, all teams have an equal opprtunity to win the cup using the same ingrediants with different recipes unlike Swansea...which its ratio of winning the premier league is an unfair 1/1000% chance to win
Because the mls isn't a real league
Swansea are doomed no matter who manages them and I’m a Brit
Uh how can a team be a "cool club" if it was just founded in a city notorious for stealing other teams???
I'm a die-hard Atlanta United fan, but man I love LA FC so far. Really are an awesome club. From one expansion side to another, welcome and don't let the expansion-haters get to you!
It feels strange to an European that a newly founded club starta in the top division but that is how it is in America. This does cause the Club to miss out on a history and building a foundation and to me that would be important But i don't Think the same thing exists there really..
Adam Persson you totally forgot about canada having MLS teams.
Also it’s a long complicated issue. There are lower leagues here and they’re financially unstable.
If it's on the MLS is automatically not cool. MLS is trash. Before you came here telling me that MLS is growing it's actually not. How come veterans for European clubs dominate the league when they come? If it was competitive at all they would struglly a bit more. Also, there are no relegations (from what I've heard) which is stupid in my opinion. Teams can do bad one season but not really care because they won't get relegated.
Omar Huerta yeah I see what you're saying
Andrew delca trust me. We already know. And we’re not happy with the state of soccer in the US and i’ll throw canada in there too since they have MLS teams
Omar Huerta Those European and Latin American vets come over because they care about the sport as much as their home countries and are trying to help the sport grown in what many fans both here in the US and abroad had once viewed as the final frontier for football. The last land for the sport to conquer to finally prove it's greatness to the long-resistant US market. And now they see that the tide is turning with the younger generations starting with the latter portion of Gen X, the Millenials and beyond. They want to be a part of that story. Pele started it when he came to NY and laid the seeds, then Beckham picked up the torch and re-lit the flame and now the newest wave of stars are playing their part to finish the job and make the US, the long sneering and disbelieving US, converts to the beautiful game because they believe in the power of football and they believe that spreading the global game is a worthy cause in and of itself. And getting a little money while doing this football evangelism is an extra perk...
The best part of this is at 5:38, when we see how much this meant to the players, too. Their passion drives us to cheer more and more loudly for and with them.
Sha la lala lala! LAFC!
Moved from L.A. to A.Z.....but i still support my teams from L.A. lets make some history L.AF.C. bring a championship to the city.....this is what makes los angeles a kool city. "Diversity" it does not matter who you are or where you come from. We are LOS ANGELES FOOTBALL CLUB.
Like many here, I want to see pro/rel someday, but I'm fine with where we are now. Much like it took time for America to grow to like and will someday love this sport, it may also take time for this country to warm up to an idea like pro/rel. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither will this concept be accepted by enough Americans to make it a reality right away. I believe that among the fans of the sport in this country, the issue is split about 50/50 but as long as it's so divided among the fans, the tie-breaker will always be the owners who have a vested interest in the status quo. I don't think that being indifferent to the sport in this country unless it changes overnight will change what they decision-makers in the league and the federation do bc they already get what they need from the fans who accept what the structure is. But I do think that fans with new ideas who support other teams outside of MLS and show owners that there are more than 30 viable markets for the sport in this country, MLS will have to take notice and maybe consider a change. When MLS hits 30-32 teams and there are still 10-15 markets hitting MLS numbers in attendance, then the sport will prove that it is too big for this type of system. That takes time and patience. I have patience. So I support and enjoy MLS, but I also will start to support and buy jerseys, etc, for clubs outside of MLS like FC Cincy, Sac Rep, or whoever ends up outside when MLS gets to their idea number of teams which will probably be 30-32. If the sport is too big for the system, only then will the system be forced to change to accommodate it.
LA GALAXY and NEW YORK RED BULLS are still the best Football teams in US, GRETTINGS FROM EUROPE
I love how there's serious beef between Galaxy and LAFC fans, OOOOO we got an L.A Derby!!!!!!!
Where were all these people when The Galaxy were winning MLS Cups?
Jessie who cares. Were here now. Stop being so salty and focus on your team.
In Los Angeles waiting for a real club
they were in los angeles... Galaxy fans arw in carson where galaxy stays
They were supporting chivas usa
Rooting for Chivas USA
All teams start somewhere embrace the soccer surge in america only time and dedication will make the team great and the sport big
Vela was SUCH a good signing my gawd
American Football Culture is cringeworthy. 😂
Adam Eaton if this happened anywhere else in the world, would you say the same thing?
LAFC isn't cool
Phil The Snake Couthino Barća isn’t cool
2:15 makes me want to die
That’s why i can’t stand the MLS. It’s all plastic and manufactured. Speaking to people in the city about how much their teams mean to them when the club’s been in existance for about a month. And the fake ultras with the flares, it’s just embarassing and cringeworthy
The Yellow Wall so what's a real ultra?? Just because they aren't European that doesn't make them "real ultras"? I mean look at the EPL the best they offer are hooligans but even they got their asses handed to them in France by the Russians. The quality of football is still there but the English fans are beyond boring.
Echte Liebe 💛🖤
darkslayer1000000 why bring up hooligans? First of all it’s a terrible part of football and needs to be stopped. And second, the Russians were attacking families in france and we tried to protect ourselves. The reason they aren’t “real ultras” is that in this video it seems like they’ve been supporting LAFC for years, when really this club came into existance. Ultras are a european thing and it’s just cringeworthy that Americans are trying to copy it. It’s not like a Milan derby where there have been dozens of matches over the years, they’re franchises bought by businessmen in America ffs
That's a silly comment, look at the teams now, they also buy their way to victory. Just because they have a history of not doing so in the long gone past does not rectify it. Football isn't going to be fair as long as nobody is going to be bothered by the huge amount of money that can be spend in it.
So no team in the Americas has ultras? Only Europe. LOLOLOLOLOL. Argentina is calling.
The Yellow Wall you do realize that LAFC used to be Chivas USA up until a few years ago when the club folded right? They rebranded.
But i don’t expect you to know as you only wanna come up with reasons to hate the US and Canada
Proper football (not “soccer”) is in Europe
Ben Brown and soccer is a term the UK invented
But keep on hating americans and canadians and probably the entire north and south american continents because “proper football” doesnt exist in any part of either continent.
what boring chants seem like they were payed to be there
Wait so are they trying to make the retirement home league cool?
I just hope MLS players (Mexicans ) don’t get called up to play for the national team, no competition in their clubs for them. They’re there pretty much for the lifestyle and the money...
C6co66 vela and both dos santos bros are definitely getting called up.
They need to be on the squad to help el tri win the world cup
Who knows the song at the beginning?
Don’t you mean Chivas USA
No.
You must be a confused galaxy fan your team is from Carson not LA
Intro song !!!! What song is that !
Let's get some coverage like this our first derby at the end of the month, since y'all like dickriding LAFC so much
I've been waiting for a team I could really get behind and support in the MLS. I've finally found one
and Zlatan says... “The Lion is Hungry”
There’s only ONE soccer team in L.A. and that’s the L.A. Galaxy. Period.
Sorry Carson
cheese fuck you
troy arrington Carson
cheese fuck
cheese you
OoF, a good MLS team.
Damn Will Ferrel owns LAFC. I wouldn't take him serious as a coach lol
Chivas USA 2.0 still trash
What an experience to be part of your clubs first ever game. It was MENTAL.
If you want to see the LAFC vs Seattle Sounders match day vlog, head to my channel!
Why did they take Rosenborg celebration? U koew sjhlalalala. Stealing culture! But thats what the MLS i all about
"There's only one team in LA".
- LAFC fans (otherwise known as Man City fan-wannabies)
Sorry but the Galaxy are the kings of California and definitely LA's finest football club to offer. Chivas USA tried and failed, we can do the same to LA's Second Fiddle. :)
#ThisIsLA #OurCityOurHome #LosAngeles #LAGalaxy 💙💛
"Man City fan-wannabies." LOL, funny, I've always thought the Galaxy was a Real Madrid Wannabie! Los Galacticos or the Galaxy!
Oscar Rodriguez do you know galaxy was made before them get your fucking fact right
Before Real Madrid or the Galacticos nickname?
Galaxy is not from L.A tho
Song?
Lol no
I supported Galaxy...but never felt close to them because they are stationed a LONG way from Downtown LA...LAFC on the other hand...its in the HEART of LA...which is really important to fans
baby chivas LOOOOOL....what happened fools ??? ya'll got zLAtan'd
The question is will Copa 90 ever do a video not about LAFC,ATL,NYCFC,SEA,POR,ORL,NYRB it's getting pretty stale
"Build a cool club", how do you suddenly become cool only after playing two games?? That's just trash and anyone with even a speck of knowledge on how this game actually works would know that. Well, anyways, Another swing and a miss from Copa90US. Cringe is what comes to mind when I watch this channel half the time. I'm going to start getting used to this feeling.
The colors are cool. It was smart to market with colors similar to the Raiders colors that was so popular in LA back in the day when the Raiders were there. I know quite a few ppl from LA who still identify more with the Raiders wherever they play then either the Rams or especially the Chargers. And the Raiders were the epitome of cool. Plus the team is right there in the inner city. I wonder if the LAFC badge will ever become as iconic in LA as the Raiders logo...
I just wish the ticket prices weren’t too expensive
Curious what Americans think about it being called Los Angeles football club ....giving that most of them call it soccer
I don't understand how LAFC fans aren't just opportunistic douche bags. LA Galaxy has been the best team in MLS history and instead of being proud, one bad season was enough to switch to a new team? Even with Mexican fans, LA Galaxy have the Dos Santos brothers. I don't see what the appeal is. Like every good team, LA Galaxy went through a rebuild and underperformed due to the likes of Giovanni. Still don't get where this huge fan base came from for LAFC. It's not like they're gonna be miles better than LA Galaxy who will have a come back season.
They gotta put the UA-cam sponsor on the back cuz it makes the Jersey look ugly and without it would look very beautiful
Shouldn't MLS abolish the East v West conference format? As soccer fans we don't like the sport being managed here as another showbiz league like NFL and NBA, but accepting this format is just following that tradition. If you check last season's results and simply how these teams are managed, you'll see how Eastern teams are better than Western teams. If we're going to keep a similar format, shouldn't there be a raffle after the regular season to make eastern sides battle it out with western sides and may the actual best win? I don't think an East vs West final is necessary at all. Fans don't care if it's east or west who takes it, it's not even a rivalry.
Right before people reply to this angrily. I don’t mind the US getting into football but I really don’t like the mls. On the outside it just seems like a league which is profit driven since its inception and I understand that football nowadays is profit driven but there’s still a sense of fan value and ways to help your club this just seems like a huge money maker and not for the love of the sport. There’s a reason why the best players are all 30+ has beens. It’s because of money. Do you actually think players like beckham, pirlo and lampard went to La Galaxy and NYFC for the team. Of course not they went pure money. Even the lack of promotion and relegation is because of money. You should earn to play into top flight leagues not buy into it. Apart from those reasons though personally idc if Americans get into football the same way I wouldn’t care about any country getting into it. But for worldwide fans to take it seriously you need to revamp the mls or make a new league because the money driven ways of the mls I personally believe the Mls is what’s stopping from the US from being respected as a country that cares about football
Add superstar players, but its only Vela lol. How these man shiting on LA Galaxy and havent played a full professional season yet? Thats some mad banter. Basically, these lot are the American MK Dons.
There you American's go again over rating your mls club's.Building the best football club in the world get the flock outta here, come off that cloud nine y'all are on.American are averaged when it comes to football.
How about finishing the game by playing in the 2nd half??? That game v LAG was not a way to go. 3-0...then lose 3-4!!!!
It seems to me that the older MLS clubs really went after the 'dipin dots' crowd with stadiums in the burbs and stands that dont really get close enough to the pitch for the atmosphere to really get going, not to mention the soccer moms complaining about 'harsh language'. All of the new clubs are more focused on doing it the Portland way, where the stadium is closer to (or right in) downtown and you get more of that young adult pub crowd. Get a couple of drinks in you and walk through some downtown streets to a stadium. The suburbia model of MLS is dead. The downtown, pub crowd model is what the people want.
Zlatan!!! La Galaxy all day!! Sorry chivas usa 2.0 🤷🏾♂️😜
LAFC (Chivas USA 2.0) feels so forced and plastic. I’ll stick with the team that has represented LA for 22 years.
Interesting! I usually support players that I like regardless of the team they play for, but in this case couldn't care much for Vela! why did he throw away his career away by joining this league? is he ready to retire?
nice try...coolest club in the world...really, dont think so. That honour goes to Celtic. Go to a Celtic game in Glasgow and see what a real team is like.
I recently read an article that MLS plans to follow the tier system eventually. They're expanding to a certain amount of teams. I think the lower leagues are trying to expand as well to the point where we will eventually have promotion and relegations.
We need a club like this in Chicago. It's basically the same situation like l.a Galaxy. Chicago fire isn't even located in Chicago it's like 45 mins away in some shitty suburb.
Luis Sanchez MLS planning🤦🏻♂️
you get it!!!!!!!!! I feel like most of the Galaxy fans are not even from L.A, they are from L.A County, and many of their fans that i've come across are people from the suburbs, not the inner city. L.A FC is in located in the heart of the inner city!
Oscar Rodriguez why so wrong about location
LA > Carson
Optic Pete LA Galaxy>Chivas USA 2.0
Building The Coolest Club In The World well that team is already build is call Atlanta United FC
Tampa FC aka Rowdies should be in MLS instead of Miami FC we already have a team
Hahaha. See myself
If its the coolest club then why do they always choke. I mean like I don't know if chocking a 3-0 and 2-0 lead is cool
Zlatan will murder LAFC. Los Angeles Welcome To Zlatan!
I just don’t agree with a league that doesn’t have relegation but you can just buy a position in the top division.
Sorry but SG Eintracht Frankfurt ist the coolest club in the world
What's the reason to support lafc over galaxy?
Because they’re actually in LA...
EgoistiClout fakes
Former Chivas USA supporters want to support Chivas USA 2.0
Ive never liked the Galaxy.
How do mls introduce promotion and relegation system with the way us sport is made
Is it possible
Going forward, only teams owned by NFL or MLB owners will be relevant.
american clubs ARE SHIT AND NOW YOU ARE MAKING AN LA CLUB
These fuckers stole my idea! I was gonna use those same colors for the uniform of my team when i become rich enough to own one.
MLS gonna be spoiled in a few years with ATL, LAFC, Miami, and Detroit. Gonna have just as much depth and interesting play as Prem with mix of old and new
Trent P no
No
The more MLS grows maybe it can even form a division league but idk
Trent P ha no
Trent P don't lie to yourself
There’s only one team for LA in MLS. LA Galaxy!!!!
yaw don't get to excited because it isn't really the best team in The MLS
Columbus crew beat seattle sounders in the 2020 mls cup
