This is such a well-done rendition. I searched for it because it wasn't played at Holy Thursday Mass this evening, and I always so looked forward to hearing it. Thank you to these young people.
I just got home from Mass. It is one of my favorite Lenten hymns. My church choir sings it just as well, and I wish I would have recorded them. I'm glad I found it here.
This was US when Pastor Anderson and Robin left us. I played the flute obligato. My friend Karen sang my part in Nu Glory Quartet so we had BALANCE. My fab cousin Mary (she's Catholic, but oh, don't ever think they cannot rise from the rigidity of Old unthinking ideas.) came to play the piano part. And afterwords this same cousin cried with me because I deliberately planned an emotional sendoff and I needed her. This is what Christians do, we ask a lot and we love a lot.. (Quite a lot of Hardened Presbyterian Women had Words with me later about jmy Innappropriate passion, but who cares what elderly dried up bitter women think, who didn't grow during the 60s.... I digress. Forgive me. I WILL treasure this version forever.
I was in choir for about 12 yrs. and we sang this beautiful song every year at Easter. I moved away and will miss the choir "forever." Thank you for sharing... I always tear up now when I hear it. I sang alto. VERY well done! ❤❤❤️
In Remembrance (Ragan Courtney and Buryl Red) In remembrance of Me eat this bread In remembrance of Me drink this wine In remembrance of Me pray for the time When God's own will is done In remembrance of me heal the sick In remembrance of me feed the poor In remembrance of me open the door And let your brother in, let him in Take eat and be comforted Drink and remember too That this is my body and precious blood Shed for you, shed for you In remembrance of me search for truth In remembrance of me always love In remembrance of me don't look above But in your heart, in your heart Look in your heart for God Do this in remembrance of Me Do this in remembrance of Me In remembrance of Me
Our Youth Choir put this on, back when I was in High school, many long years ago... I'm so glad it's not been forgotten. we worked for a year to memorize all the words and songs. It was truly moving....
When Buryl Red came to our church for our annual Composer Day, we sang this song. This was many years ago. His being at our church was a highlight of my life as a choir member.
Buryl Red wrote a remarkably beautiful arrangement of "Silent Night" which you can hear near the end of the 1990 vintage "A Child's Christmas in Pittsburgh" video. Truly outstanding!
Beautiful performance of this song! I remember singing this arrangement with the flute as a teen YEARS ago. I am now the Music director at my church and recently this song creeped into my head. I would like to perform this for Easter, but I can't seem to find THIS version. Who is the arranger? The only one I can find online is Lloyd Larsen. I much prefer this piano/flute accompaniment - simpler - which fits the song better, in my opinion.
Hi! Did you find a copy in time for Easter? This is the original arrangement by the composer himself, Buryl Red. (ua-cam.com/video/_G7X3GTxeYA/v-deo.html) My church (in Rizal, Philippines) has never had a pianist so we always sing this song to guitar accompaniment. I think I have copies of this in the choir filing cabinet at church. I can try to find it for you if you need it for next year.
It is directly out of the "Celebrate Life" SATB version. I believe it is still available from JW Pepper; if not, you should be able to find an older copy on one of the music sharing sites.
Ragan Courtney is the husband of famed gospel singer Cynthia Clawson. The song is from the musical "Celebrate Life", and on the album that goes with the musical Cynthia sings this track.
It is in a few hymnals. Also, you may search the title online for choir arrangements. Another commenter stated: It is directly out of "Celebrate Life" SATB version. I believe it is still available from JW Pepper; if not, you should be able to find an older copy on one of the music sharing sites
Very beautiful Flute, musicians and choir!..... and lets not forget the engineer - beautiful recording of this
One of my favorite songs of all time. Simply spectacular. Thank you for sharing your talents!
I love this song. I used to sing it as a duet in my church.

A most beautiful rendition of a simply awesome hymn of praise for our Lord and Savior !! Thumbs us...WAY UP!!!
One of my favorite songs. This was always played on the Piana during communion. Love this version and the flute is beautiful.

Love this anthem. Nice to hear the flute joining in.
How beautiful. Beautiful Jesus. ❤️
In Remembrance
(Ragan Courtney and Buryl Red)
In remembrance of Me eat this bread
In remembrance of Me drink this wine
In remembrance of Me pray for the time
When God's own will is done
In remembrance of me heal the sick
In remembrance of me feed the poor
In remembrance of me open the door
And let your brother in, let him in
Take eat and be comforted
Drink and remember too
That this is my body and precious blood
Shed for you, shed for you
In remembrance of me search for truth
In remembrance of me always love
In remembrance of me don't look above
But in your heart, in your heart
Look in your heart for God
Do this in remembrance of Me
Do this in remembrance of Me
In remembrance of Me

Sempre choro quando escuto essa canção, aqui no Brasil cantamos essa cantata. 😭🇧🇷🙏🙌
How I wish we were able to sing together this Thursday.. Beautiful choir ... voices are angelic
Our Youth Choir put this on, back when I was in High school, many long years ago... I'm so glad it's not been forgotten.
we worked for a year to memorize all the words and songs. It was truly moving....
I sang this at my mother-in-laws funeral-such a beautiful hymn
Just beautiful! It gave me chills. Our choir normally sings this on Holy Thursday, but we didn't last year and I was disappointed.
I sang this hymn at both my Mother’s and Mother in Law’s funeral-one of the most beautiful hymns, both lyrics and melody
One of my favorites!
When Buryl Red came to our church for our annual Composer Day, we sang this song. This was many years ago. His being at our church was a highlight of my life as a choir member.
Love this song!! Our choir sang it several times and feedback was excellent!❤
Nice job on the flute. You have a very pretty tone.
wonderful rendition... looking so forward to more beautiful hymns from this fantastic choir!
Verdaderamente hermosa interpretación
Well done! This is an excellent rendition of a beautiful song that tugs at everyone’s heart!!
Beautiful Words of Jesus
When this song was sang while receiving the Holy Eucharist , i cried, i dont know why...
I feel the same way about this song.
Love this song!

I love this piece. Beautifully sung. BTW, it’s Ragan Courtney.
Thanks for the correction, Bill!
I can't seem to find this beautiful arrangement anywhere. Can you help?
This is possibly the best version of this song I've ever heard. Second only to Sacred Heart Wilkes-Barre on Holy Thursday circa early to mid 90s.
Beautifully done. So nice to hear the famed acoustics of St. Paul the Apostle.
Many thanks.
Who is the arranger?
So beautiful.
Lovely!
What arrangement is this? Been trying to find the piece.
Excellent!

nicely done! Thanks
Que bello, este mismo arreglo lo cante en Guatemala hace como 25 anos en español, el mismo arreglo, bello himno.
A beautiful rendition, thank you! I must point out, though, that Ragan is his first name. Ragan Courtney wrote the lyrics to In Remembrance.
Ragan Courtney is the husband of famed gospel singer Cynthia Clawson. The song is from the musical "Celebrate Life", and on the album that goes with the musical Cynthia sings this track.
In Remembrance - By Courtney Regan & Buryl Red Youg & Adult & Choir & Ensemble. St. Paul Youg Adult Choir.
Can we get Sheetmusic? Thanks
Awesome!!! I'd like having the partiture!!!
sheet music please......
Good Feeling Harmony!
I would be so grateful for information on the arranger (where to buy sheet music). Thanks so much. Beautiful performance.
