- Опубліковано 7 лют 2025
- VAPI has released its Realtime API integration, and it’s a game-changer for building faster, more empathetic, and multilingual voice assistants. But how good is it really? Can it be used in live applications? And is VAPI still essential in today’s landscape?
What we will cover in this video:
Overview of the Realtime API and how it works.
How to set up and integrate the API using Vapi.
Key benefits of using speech-to-speech technology.
When to use the Realtime API and its limitations.

Awesome work as usual Jannis!
being able to use eleven and choose a voice is a nice plus for vapi
A video on the business aspect of introducing these systems to a plumbing office ,a doctor, or any business would be cool
How much to charge , how to pitch them for adoption, etc
Is there people that make money that can we can study who’s already successful in the call automation space besides API providers ?
Have you actually made money selling automation systems that use these tools ?
Or is it just from teaching people how to use them?
A video on the state of the Voice A.I automation market would be cool too
What are the main hurdles or barriers for mass adoption ?
Is it that the tools are too complex to build on top of for a lot of people ?
Is it mainly the costly price of the API’s ?
Is there certain tasks they excel at but certain types of calls that they perform poorly on as of now ?
We’re working on a program for that. Over the past 9 months, we’ve been mainly selling voice AI implementation and that can already boost you to a 7 figure business, even with one-off projects.
A video or article I have yet to see any content creator make is how to transcribe emails during(key word) a call. Models have no trouble transcribing email language(Dash, Underscore, At/at sign, dot/period) into it's proper punctuation after the call. Though, I've had much trouble transcribing emails during calls themselves. If a user wants a email confirmation sent to them they will not get it since the email is formatted incorrectly. Having to create a separate automation or send a sms message to collect the users email is a hassle and unnecessary. A video about this would be super valuable.
Just released one: ua-cam.com/video/1MT3_gSve-M/v-deo.html
Can you do a video about reducing background noise. The vapi agent always gets distracted by background noise even with the minimising background noise feature is enabled!
I have a client that needs voice agents for his collections agency. People call in to make a payment on their collections charge and he needs a system that can look up their account and recieve a payment through a voice agent. Could Vapi handle something like that if tied into an API through Plaid or a service like that?
Yep, as long as the other service has an API that you can access, you won't have any issues integrating it with Vapi.
a good video
Hi, what is your screen recording software that tracks your mouse and stuff, please ?
Screen Studio
Realtime api is expensive as hell. With a bigger prompt it gets to like 2-3$ per minute which is crazy
Damm
It’s still super pricy, but it’s also still in Beta. I expect a price drop once it is fully released
@@jannismoore can you create videos for our platform also ?
Don't worry in 2-3 months price will drop to 0.3$ or lesser with the rapid growth of competition... We have seen that with other models... 😉
1st like and comment
Legend!
Jannis is the only way to go when it comes to VAPI and automaton
Oh. I was waiting for the integration with Vapi and Realtime OpenAI API to work on some projects. Now it seems it is still not worth it. Damm it!
The realtime API itself is just not ready yet
@jannismoore yes. Got it. Danke.
Realtime API is expensive and when I tested it with Knowledge base it started hallucinating.
I would blame that on the kb - never recommend to use the integrated one. ever.
@jannis what would you recommend instead to use as KB? Our own integration via Make?
@@jannismoore what kb would you recommend instead?
