I cut 4 stems and 2 survived past summer and are now growing roses and new leaves….it literally was the most satisfying project❤️
I tried the same ..but all turned black from bottom (near soil) and caught fungus.
what is that white thing pls?
@@haninotran9218 in the video they applied that white creamy stuff that said "Fungicide" Fungicides are pesticides that kill or prevent the growth of fungi and their spores.
This turned from a tutorial to therapy pretty quick. Thanks. Needed it.
Thank you for a great clip! No talking - just clearly shown steps, much appreciated! So many people go on and on it bores you senseless!
I feel the same way.
I prefer the talking. I often listen to things while driving or doing housework. To me, and many others these no talking videos are just music in the background.
Yesssss I click out so fast when they start with the excessive taking.
it works. It worked in just 5 days sprouts came out. I did not use fungicide but I have covered them in transparent plastic. Also I live in a place with temperature of around 30-35°C . More mature rose stem will sprouts earlier. Thank you for the video. I tried and its working. So helpful
Planting rose plants always a failure.
Did you cover just the tips or the whole stem in transparent plastic?
At last a genuine guy showing us the real method
Thank you for this video tried and tested and works thanks again
Unlike other videos that show you a tiny cutting and after a week they show you a ten foot rose plant.
Thank you
What was that white cream

Do you need to water within 12 days after plan ?
I did this with my potted roses bought from supermarket and after 15 days my babies coming through! Thanks to you I found my new hobby!
👌
did you make hole of your propagation flower pot?please reply
So any rose stem u put in dirty n they bloom ? Is that a fact I want roses for my wife n baby’s
Did you put fungicide as well? Can you tell me which brand? I only see granules and not the one you can apply. Thanks!
Xx
It worked even though I don't have the fungicide thingy it still worked. 🥰
Thanks for sharing that! Cause I was wondering if you had to have the fungicide or transparent plastic..
Thank you. My David Austin Gertrude Jekyll is is in the garden. Baby Trudie in the pot is doing great, alive and kicking. I didn't want to throw away the precious branch broken in the storm. (I'm proud I don't take after my mother who would've left the young apricot tree's broken branch to dry and die.) And here's to the Kew garden and your cool, simple, helpful video.
nicely done! No nonsense approach! I wish you had a Donate button because I would throw you a few bucks for this excellent tip!
NEW SUB!!!
Thank you!! Very thorough, concise, and easily understood tutorial! You’ve inspired me to give it a try ♥️🙏
Glad I discover this very helpful channel! Thank you for the guides!
Bom dia Deus abençoe gostei muito da dica para plantar as rosas eu nunca tive sorte Agora aprendi com você parabéns por nos ensinar Deus abençoe tenha uma terça-feira maravilhosa gostei muito do seu vídeo
If you want an actual rose plant you should strip the stem of all its leaves so that it spends its time on growing roots. Also, growth hormone increases the chance of rooting.
Thanks for that!! I just did that.
I'm also following the advice above but do you know if these need to be in sunlight at all? It's just starting winter here in Australia, but I live in Queensland so it'll be like 6 degrees at night - 20 degrees during the day to start with.
So ... I guess coz it's not our hot summer sun it's ok to get them in direct sunlight but then.. Maybe once it's starting to get hotter by October, I should get it out of the direct sunlight?
Any advice would be great!
And I'm guessing I don't water the plants when I have the bottles on top, it just keeps it night and humid in there right??
I only put the bottle on one of the stems as the second one was a little bit too green and soft. I'm wondering if I should have cut it up a little bit more from were it had been in the water of the bouquet to keep it alive. I did cut it a bit more up the stem but probably should have got to s dryer section. Anyhow I'll see how that goes!!
Rooting hormone?
I like rose
I didn't see any leaves in the video!
@@Therebesquare I've found it at some gardening centers and home improvement stores labeled "rooting hormone" or "rooting powder"

Enormously practical & useful guidance for multiplying rose plants in home garden. Thanks for the post. 👌👌👌👍👍👍
I'm going to try this. Thank you so much for showing the steps clearly. I plan to use sap from my aloe vera plant as a fungicide alternative.. This way I won't have to pay for a new item and will enjoy regenerative gardening by letting an existing plant help a baby neighbor grow. I hope it works.

When would you recommend to give them their own pot, also when to put them in the ground?
Good question. I've got 4 healthy looking plants just like the video, but I'm not sure when to separate them. I don't want the roots to tangle up.
Today is the 15th day it has grown thank you💜
Did you pour water daily

I want to know, Before planting pulses in the ground, what white elements has pasted in it? please help. & what type of soil is it?
Greath video 📹😍❤
Thank you for a simple to follow, quick and easy video. I have two questions:
1. Is that soil just mud or enriched with some fertilizer ?
2. What kind of fungicide did you use ?
looks like a mix of sand and peat
@@timm_3r Thank you. I was curious as well.
Honey or Aloe Vera can be used at the exposed part of the stem.
Hi I loved the video it’s very easy to follow .I would like to know when is the best season to do it .
You can grow them any season, but that may take longer in winter
@@cumfreyjones5487 Should they be in sun when rooting with bottles over them? Thanks!
@@loriwoo8408Indirect light but not direct sunlight. Which will stress the cutting and dry the starter out.
Good idea friend
Thank you so much
*I LIKE IT!*
I am absolutely blown away that you took the caps off the bottles before removing the bottles from the soil. there's no way I could have ever predicted that.
Why do we have to remove caps first?
To slowly expose them to air. They've been contained in green house conditions with lots of humidity so you gradually introduce them to the environment that they will be living in.
How cute! You can also put the cut stems in water till they grow little leaves
