    I swear my mother could take an old rose bouquet, crame it into the ground, ignore it, and have a new rose bush. Me, in the same location and weather, have only managed to start three or four roses in that many decades.

      actually it happens bro, My success rate is good but my mother can grow anything bro, she made whole garden doing that

    • @macysondheim
      @macysondheim 2 роки тому

      No. Your grandma wasn’t cramming them into the ground, you should do your homework, or pay attention to what’s going on around you. It’s not some “unfair cruel world” that’s making all your rose cuttings unsuccessful. It’s you not taking the time & effort into learning the actual techniques and science behind it. Your laziness, lack of ambition, and absent motivation

    • @janwilliams579
      @janwilliams579 2 роки тому +7

      @@macysondheim My grandmother might not have been, but that is exactly what my mother did. She would bring home an old bunch of roses from the church, stuff the ends in any old patch of ground and just ignore them. No water, nada. And she did just put them wherever there was room. A few weeks later, they were growing. I was living with my mother for most of that time and taking care of the yard so I know exactly what was and wasn't done. I can start roses from cuttings and a good portion of my 40 plus rose are just that, but I have to work at it while they didn't.

    I use plastic bottles, colored, with the bottom off. They work great. Put the name of the rose on the bottle. I have taken thousands of cuttings. I have four cuttings I did last Fall, I took them into the basement under lights. They are potted and the pots are in the ground now. It was 90 degrees today!. I keep the pots watered every day. I have a plant of Stormy Weather. I moved it in early March. It is doing good

      Hi. This video may answer few questions ua-cam.com/video/eLACnABG2LM/v-deo.html
      You can plant it in ground when it reaches a size of about 1 foot.
