The calipers are just a cheap AutoZone set and the attachment is a Hornady Anvil. It’s part of their bullet comparator / headspace set. Just gives you a larger flat surface to measure from.
@@243Outdoors gotcha I appreciate it. I ask because I'm trying the lyman trimmer and hornady calipers and don't get consistent readings with them and it's frustrating. I saw that and thought maybe it'd help get level even readings.
I have this unit around 3 years now. I have done 1000's and 1000's of cases on it. Works great. And you got a great price on it.
It’s definitely worth it. I’ve had my eye on them for a few years now. Finally justified it.
Cool unit. Never saw their trimmer in action, thanks for sharing.👍
It’s pretty simple to use.
Its a good unit!!
Nice video man! ♥️🇺🇸🤘🏼
Thanks CW
I needed that for my 6.5 grendel brass converted to 6arc. 150 of those things on a lyman hand trimmer. Oh my poor wittle fingers.
I agree. Even with a drill adapter it’s still tiring.
Nice unit great detail video thanks for sharing
You’re welcome.
Very nice and accurate. A lot easier than chucking a case into a drill.
Very cool, Josh. I have the Lyman unit. I have to use the Lee case length gage to trim on it.
That works too. As long as you don’t have to do it by hand.
@@243Outdoors Yes Sir, that’s what I meant. I use the Lee stuff on the Lyman unit. Missed you in TN. Maybe we’ll get together sometime next year.
just leave the o ring on. no point in removing it and you're adding steps and issues.
I like 300 blk , it rarely needs trimming . 😄
I've got some 300bo that's been fired 4x and it's still .004 under min trim length.
So you can only trim cases that has a shoulder??
Yes
Nice, I use the Hornady handheld but it gets tiring after a while having a bench option is great
I usually trim 100 at a time so it was time to try something else.
I’m using my he Lee handheld trimmer , I end up with bloody knuckles every time I use it 🤣
Where can I buy this red device attached to the caliper? I can't find it...
Its kinda pointless.. id amagin hornady has one
Got mine for $150.00 takes a week and half to arrive but worth the wait, now i will include 762x39 besides .223 loading
I have had mine for 3 years.
I love it & highly recommend it.
you got it at right time now $168
The prices seem to go up and down quite often.
Very good. I was happy to see you measure after you deburred and chamfered.
I use all sorts of different brass. I wonder how bif of a headache it would actually be to not have everything the same.
What brand caliper do you have?
What calipers are those? Also what attachment is on it to level the measurement??
The calipers are just a cheap AutoZone set and the attachment is a Hornady Anvil. It’s part of their bullet comparator / headspace set. Just gives you a larger flat surface to measure from.

What do you have on you caliper to make the brass sit level?
It’s a Hornady Anvil. Part of the the comparator set.
