Sam, I'm getting back into reloading after about a decade off (what can I say, shooting 5.56 and 9mm through semi-autos doesn't motivate the average shooter to reload). Your videos and blog have been like gold. Your level of experience and time spent on the craft of both long range shooting and reloading is really clear. While it's true that everyone has their own way of doing things.. when you load and shoot as much as you and your son do, it's safe for someone like me to assume that if a given process or product meets your standard, it's something worth paying attention to. So, thank you for taking the time to share your experiences and processes. It's made getting back into precision reloading a much less intimidating prospect, and made me want to share this passion with others. Thanks again.
Wow, you do volume! I'm just a tinker next to you. I see all those primers and berger bullets on the shelf and know you are on a level I will never reach
I did a lot of reading, watching and listening to other reloaders; (Gunblue490, johnny’s reloading bench, ultimate reloader & others) before i ever loaded a round. I watched how they did things, what they had on their bench and how their reloading bench was set up. I’ve learned a great deal from all of you. I’d love to have Gunblue490’s space and set-up, not to mention his experience, and a place to shoot right out my door like johnny’s. But it was your workflow system, reasoning and organization whether for a few test rounds or for match ammo, or to hunt or compete that fit best for me. Your 5 step prld videos were my tutors. Thank you for sharing and taking the time and effort to pass along what you’ve learned. I believe that’s how it should be. P.S., i thought you were in Texas as i am (Atascosa County) until i saw the WA State license plate on the truck and recognized those ever windy conditions of the Colombia River Basin?
Sam you make it look simple- and I appreciate that. I'm a long time follower for good reason - I'd have more money in my pocket if I'd never seen your stuff, but the tools I've purchased after watching you make success from them has brought me great success in turn. So a big thank you buddy. Henderson trimmer is definitely next purchase (when someone gets them in stock).
Over the last few years I have adopted your workflow and it works well! Great synopsis video... Impressive shooting during those windy conditions Jake!
Awesome to see you making vids again Sam. Been waiting patiently here in South Africa for more content from you. Good to see Jake featuring so well. Looking forward to the next video.
Excelente video..!!
Thanks a lot Sam. I started reloading around 1980 and some rifles have never seen a factory round. But watching your videos, I keep learning something new each time or confirm I have been doing some things right. Please keep up the great video content. Good shooting.
Man, this was absolutely outstanding, thank you. Repetitive. Do the same thing over and over. Only change one factor at a time. These are things I'm learning are absolute wisdom gems. Like you said, it's not rocket science. Thank you again.
I can’t thank you enough for all of the time you put into these videos and your website. I just read your blog about all of the equipment you use and it’s perfect! I’m new to this world and you are saving me SO much time in research. I’m able to start my loading journey faster now and tweak from there. Thank you!
Thanks so much for taking the time to put these videos together.I have grown as a reloder because of them! Got my comparators and hornady oal length gauge and put them to work on my 22-250.It already shoots better than me lol but we'll see what if any the .025 difference makes .I was a bit short so we'll stick em into the chamber a bit more and see. Thank you so much, wish I had a dad son relationship you guys do,thanks again. Jeff
Great video! I found myself chuckling at your extensive use of postit notes 😂 they’re literally everywhere in your shop lol, but it keeps you organized and i admire your process 👍🏼
Sam I appreciate the video link you sent to me. Catching up with you and Jake was very enjoyable. As soon as you started talking about your process on making ammo it all came back to me. What I liked is that you practice the "KISS" principal with marking the cases for identification. When you said Jake is 15 I realized how long it has been since I last saw you two on your youtube channel. Time really passes by to quickly. When I saw the last Precision Rifle match on your youtube channel I did not know I was watching Jake in the competition. He is an excellent shooter. I used to watch your videos with great anticipation for the next one. Now I can follow both of you again. That new press you have is excellent. It make the whole process more enjoyable when your equipment is reliable. If you ever have some free time I would be interested to know the specs on Jake's rifle; i.e., stock, action , barrel and muzzle brake. Thanks again for a geat video. And, good shooting.
I learned how to reload by watching your videos. Thank You Sam! You taught me how to reload and for that I am very grateful. Safe, accurate, effective ammunition. The Millard Method 👍👍
Thanks for the knowledge. I can't imagine the learning process needed to get this info. Starting to reload and this, in combination with your blog post, has been a ton of help in selecting equipment and getting an understanding of the process.
Great video! I've learned so much from you and your straight forward approach to reloading. I've referred a couple of my friends too you and they also love your content. Thanks for sharing with all of us out here.
Spot on Sam, a very informative video. Myself, not being able to Multi task, I have developed a slightly modified version of what you do about 10 years back, and it works well. Thank you, I'll pass on this Video to some of the guys that come around to my reloading room for workshops
New subscribers. Been away from reloading a few years, and am easing back in. Your reloading room is almost a factory -- very impressive. Hope to learn a lot from your videos!
Thanks for another very informative video matey. I don't shoot competition here in the UK but have found your explanatory videos very helpful in developing my hunting ammunition (not that we can get out shooting right now...)
Great to see content from you again, Sam. I have been learning a lot from your videos and homepage, and was wondering why you stopped sharing. Thanks for the very easy to understand, no bullshit, explanations :-) You are a great instructor and seem like a cool and chill guy.
I haven't been reloading since the 80's and ended up having to sell everything. Give you three guesses why!! Getting back into it and this is by far the best channel out there. You explain everything in detail and give a precise reason why you do every step. I have a question about my rifle. It's an H&R Handi rifle break open action in 223. Do all the brass prep and calc. procedures apply the same? Thanks Sam for all the content. You're the BEST!!
I miss Sinclair, yes their stuff but also their advice. Can you still get everything they sold and good technical assistance through Brownells? Anyone found something similar?
I really enjoyed this video, through and through. I am just getting started again after MANY years and it is quite a shock to see some of the equipment advances since I left the reloading bench. You have quite a setup! We were chuckling when we saw the cat. Our likes to do exactly the same. I noticed that he gave your annealer a lot of room😂.
Awesome video and info on ways to keep info on shot brass and barrel life..I was thinking about this stuff the other day before I ordered a reloading press kit and afew dies..I can wait to get started
Going to give reloading a try. I'm also thinking about a gun vice. I notice on a variety of videos a conventional steel vice lined with, I presume, soft jaws. What size vice would you recommend? What do you like to line the jaws? Thanks in advance.
i put a flashlight in the box of bullets beside the press before i start. i can't grab a bullet without moving the flashlight... it reminds me to use the light to check each case to ensure it is filled.
Love it. Aways working on shortening the learning curve and refining the whole process. Great to see so much experience. Harder to find up here in Canada. Good work pop!
Sir thanks for sharing your info..in a previous comment you stated that you did nothing to brass after tumbling ,post sizing.. Maybe it's because I use unique case lube and walnut media. I then Use compressed air and blow from the primer end and then the neck end. But I am still left with media dust in the necks. So I use cleaning brush, and tap the brass to remove. I then Wipe each neck with AQ tip and denatured alcohol. The q.tip is black after 5 or 6 cases..I then prime and load. Should I switch case lubes and media what's your thoughts.. Thank you very much. 🇺🇸
at 14,000 rounds in a season, when do you replace your barrel ? is it replaced at a certain number of rounds, or is it replaced when you see a loss of performance ?
OZZY That 14k last year was from several rifles, including mine. Jake burned through three barrels chambered in 260 Rem, with a little over 7k combined. Those barrels shot very well even with 2k rounds on them, but I try to plan replacement when it’s convenient, rather than when it becomes necessary. We’re going to have a learning curve with the 6 Creed, to see when I’ll have to replace barrels.
Almost perfect for me... I'm just getting into reloading. I need a few of the smaller steps explained. Thanks for the awsome and more importantly inspiring work your doing, oh and the video is pretty cool too. ;)
You have single handedly made my reloading significantly better and more efficient. Keep the videos coming. Any chance you could post a link to the baskets you use for sorting the brass? Been looking for something similar and those look perfect.
Great video----how accurate is your powder thrower? I am using H1000 with a load of 77~79 grains and was wondering how accurate it would be for this powder? Also what type of annealer are you using and where to get one? Would like to see as other have asked an equipment list and source for reference. Thanks, Mike
Another great video, could you post a link to the ammo packs, those are better than my Midway pack and I need a few more. I will review your older videos again, I am looking for neck turning info as well. Thanks again for great content.
I am having trouble with some of my 7.62x51 sticking in my Remington Model 770 .308 after full leight sizing. seems to be sticking in the neck/ shoulder area. I am just getting into reloading, great video! Just wondering, beings I only have my left arm, right arm amputated, is Jake's rifle custom? It looks like MPA chassis, what action is he using? Also, he's shooting real good.
Great video! Honestly makes me miss my dad who taught me to reload when I was 14. I lost him to cancer when I was 26, I will be 50 in a couple months.
Good info, hope the son knows what a hell of a dad he has!?
This is one of the most well done reloading tutorials I've ever seen. Fantastic work, and thank you for sharing your knowledge!

That trimmer is wicked!
Wow, you do volume! I'm just a tinker next to you. I see all those primers and berger bullets on the shelf and know you are on a level I will never reach
Just recommended this video to one of my customers who is just starting out in reloading. Thanks!!!
That kid has a better rifle than Ill EVER have. Be thankful!

Nicky Dumas We are in northern Idaho. The match footage at the end of the video was shot over a couple of very windy Columbia River Basin days.
What type of wizardy was that you used on the trimming ??????? Must have something like that !!!!! Great video, sir. Thank you.
Sam you make it look simple- and I appreciate that. I have learned more watching these videos than any other source. Please keep the videos coming. Appreciate the hard work.
It’s been awhile man!! Greetings from the southeastern part of the state! And glad to see you putting out videos again. 🙌🏻
Awesome to see you making vids again Sam. Been waiting patiently here in South Africa for more content from you. Good to see Jake featuring so well.
Looking forward to the next video.

Great video! I found myself chuckling at your extensive use of postit notes 😂 they’re literally everywhere in your shop lol, but it keeps you organized and i admire your process 👍🏼
Great video..exactly what i was looking for. I can not find those am precision match ammo bags any where.. can you point me in the right direction?

Luv your attention to detail. And your equipment.
Fantastic reloading sequence video Sam. You all stay safe and healthy.
Thanks for sharing Sam. Hard to fathom shooting that many rounds a month, love it.
Wish i knew what your were doing with the green case prep box.. which ones you were using
Your videos are truly done of the best on UA-cam. Thank you so much for the details.
I learned how to reload by watching your videos. Thank You Sam! You taught me how to reload and for that I am very grateful. Safe, accurate, effective ammunition. The Millard Method 👍👍
Great video as always Sam! Keep up the good work and thank you for the kind words.
Welcome back. Missed the best instructional videos available
you sir are very common sense guy i hope you continue to make more VIDS
Great vlog! You have a beautiful work/reloading area
Thanks for the knowledge. I can't imagine the learning process needed to get this info. Starting to reload and this, in combination with your blog post, has been a ton of help in selecting equipment and getting an understanding of the process.

Hello from NZ. Great video very informative. One of the best reloading videos I’ve seen in a long time. Keep em coming. Stay safe, stay well

You switched presses. The one pictured is a MEC. Do you prefer it over the turret that you were previously using?
I still have the T-7 on the other bench. Yes, I prefer the MEC, but I use both.
Lovin the idea of running multiple Charge Masters. Assuming they're throwing spot on duplicates.
Really liked this video. Found the trimmer to be something i need to look more into. Thanks for the useful information.
Sam, thanks for the video. That bench is way too clean and organized... very nice!
Life is short...thanks for taking your time to show us your techiques

Hi,thanks for videos. How do you decide when to anneal?
Thanks for another great informative Panhandle video. I always enjoy them.
Really good video Sam. Still hard to imagine how you manage all that brass!
Going to give reloading a try. I'm also thinking about a gun vice. I notice on a variety of videos a conventional steel vice lined with, I presume, soft jaws.
What size vice would you recommend?
What do you like to line the jaws?
Thanks in advance.
High volume is an understatement, you do more that a progressive press! Nice video Sam. Thanks for sharing.
Did you ever use the Hornady Lock-N-Load Power Case Prep Center?
New and learning the process. At what point did you de-prime? During resizing? If so, do you ever have to mess with the primer pockets?
Thank you for showing us how to do it. Really appreciate it
Great video, thanks for sharing. Lots of good ideas to help organize my own set up and get more precise.
Way to go Jake !!
i put a flashlight in the box of bullets beside the press before i start. i can't grab a bullet without moving the flashlight... it reminds me to use the light to check each case to ensure it is filled.
love your attention to detail. great video mate.
Thanks Sam ! I enjoy your content greatly.
Love it. Aways working on shortening the learning curve and refining the whole process. Great to see so much experience. Harder to find up here in Canada. Good work pop!
I said when you released that video of the covid match that I missed the reloading content. And here it is! Nooooooooiiiiiiice
Sir thanks for sharing your info..in a previous comment you stated that you did nothing to brass after tumbling ,post sizing.. Maybe it's because I use unique case lube and walnut media. I've been using One Shot and corn cob media for a very long time now. I never have problems with media dust or clumping inside case necks.
I see you like the cashews from Costco as well. :) I use them for brass containers as well. Great video!

Always learn something from your videos. Thanks for posting.
Best reloading tutorial i have ever seen. You haven't loaded in some years. Are u guys still active
How often do you need to change your tumbling meda, running brass thru it that much ?
And what media do you find most effective?
Do you ever uniform the primer pocket and de~burr the flash hole?
No.
Almost perfect for me... I'm just getting into reloading. I need a few of the smaller steps explained. Thanks for the awsome and more importantly inspiring work your doing, oh and the video is pretty cool too. ;)

Jordan Harmon Wal Mart
Good job as usual. Glad to see you back on the screen.
Great video----how accurate is your powder thrower? I am using H1000 with a load of 77~79 grains and was wondering how accurate it would be for this powder? Also what type of annealer are you using and where to get one? Would like to see as other have asked an equipment list and source for reference. Thanks, Mike
Chargemasters are rated for .1 grain accuracy. They work great with H1000. I use a Bench-Source annealer.
so glad you're making videos again!
I noticed you didn't crimp the brass. Is there a reason for this? For hunting do you crimp? I always have crimped
Another great video, Thank You Sam
Another great video, could you post a link to the ammo packs, those are better than my Midway pack and I need a few more. I will review your older videos again, I am looking for neck turning info as well. Thanks again for great content.
How do you measure neck tension? Hydro Seater?
Welcome back Sam. Can you tell me if the shell holder on your mec moves around when you're reloading pls
The shellholder is free-floating on the MEC.
If I only had the equipment you have I'd be a full time reloader. Great videos keep up the good work...
Is there a disadvantage to using a progressive stage press for reloading precision rifle rounds?
What is the torch part for? Ive never seen that. Sorry new to reloading so I am trying to soak up all info.

You're a good dad, Sam.
I am having trouble with some of my 7.62x51 sticking in my Remington Model 770 .308 after full leight sizing. seems to be sticking in the neck/ shoulder area.
I have Lee 4 die set for .308win
I have tried to work cases down in it by 1/8 a turn to bump should back some.
Some are very tight in die as they get near the head of case. Take them out and lube again before moving down.
It seemed to help some but still getting those same cases to stick.
I have sized just cases and tried them without bullet. Those cases still stick. Everything is very clean.
Have you got any other Ideas?
I have thousands of those cases and don't want to Trash them?
Great info and videos.
What is the name of the case trimmer?
Wonderful video, great instruction.
Nice informative videos. I make dummy rounds with uncharged, unprimed cases with a bullet seated at proper depth. When I set up for seating a lot of bullets I use the dummy round to set the seating die. I check a few for OAL and run the lot. Granted its wasting cases and bullets. But it saves time which for me is more valuable.
Great Stuff!! When do you start annealing a given brass??
I am just getting into reloading, great video! Just wondering, beings I only have my left arm, right arm amputated, is Jake's rifle custom? It looks like MPA chassis, what action is he using? Also, he's shooting real good.
Great to see another video!
Hurrah! You’re back!
