What I appreciate about J-Hope's dancing is how dynamic it is- there's highs and lows, sharpness and fluidity, all with seamless transitions. His musicality and phrasing is strong such that he places accents on the right sections of the performance. Check out how he slows his body roll at 3:49 to create tension before releasing that powerful 'hit' right on beat, which results in visual impact. His ability to display bursts of power and energy while maintaining control is a testament to his technical skill. J-Hope's lines are clean and well-articulated. He never loses precision/ gets sloppy in order to conserve energy, which is our natural tendency. If one wishes to learn the choreography, J-Hope's fancams should serve as the textbook manual. A note on costume choice- you wouldn't put things like chunky chokers, corset belts, harnesses and gloves on someone whose movements you want to de-emphasize. On the wrong person it could look clunky and clumsy.J-Hope has such awareness of his body that he carries them elegantly and they enhance the effect of his dancing. Other than his dance, the elements that make him a great performer are his strong stage presence and stable voice. When he raps his verse, it feels like he might leap off the screen. The combination of his powerful vocals with popping really makes you FEEL the beat. Regardless of how short his part is, he can somehow make it the killing part of the song. It's simply stunning to watch.
the way all armys here are praising j-hope's captivating dance skills is making me cry. i love reading all your analysis of his dance movements and i always learn so much about the effort Hobi must have taken to achieve such insane performance. it's so painful to watch the fan-cam of the backup dancers but we're all here for hobi and we'll never stop praising his talent and effort. thank you armys.
Hoseok was spitting fire in this performance! He always gives 200% but there was something feral about him in this performance. I love how he can freestyle and improv on his solo moments; the sideways “moonwalk” footwork slide at 1:47-1:50 was so slick and gave off a different vibe than the rest of the choreo which is heavy on the downbeats and stomping. And from 3:24 to the now iconic full body wave at 3:52 , his movement was so explosive. As it has been noted before, with Hoseok, the dance steps no longer look like choreography, but rather organic movement that just bursts spontaneously from him. He truly was breathing all of the choreo here. And not to belabor an obvious point, but no one in Bangtan pulls off all black with a harness street look like Hoseok. He truly was fierce!
I love watching jimin dance but Jesus Bighit really need to give Jhope his centre moment that isnt his verse. Or give a dance break. It's almost ridiculous at how good this choreography is and Jhope is at the back the whole time except his part. Plus he wasnt even on stage for a whole minute! Jimin however was entire time. I just think its a bit unfair to Hobi considering BH made him dance leader and his learns fast yet they dont give him any spotlight in title tracks.
honestly, it's people's loss that overlooks this art for the sake of their bias, and str34m the hell out of their cams as if can make them even a percent better than hobi (after all except for popularity and views what those solo stans have to brag about ?!) nothing that I care anyway, but I want him to get his spotlights then be underhyped by this biased fandom rather than being in shadows always !! his skills are purely being wasted !!

i love this comment section so much, how we talk about j-hope's incredible dance skills! sure i don't know much about dancing and its techniques, but even that couldn't stop me from me from being in awe by his performance. everything: his moves and the way he controls them to match the beats; his rap, it's so well done, not lifeless but not exaggerated; his every facial expression, even the swift smirks at the right times added power to the performance. everything was perfectly captivating. his part was short, but he would still give in 200%. he always would.
J-hope is really a definition of perfection K-pop idol, he really shows up with his own style and how he has so much passion for music, with all his charisma and beyond unique characters he has. I personally feel so proud when J-hope become my ultimate bias in K-pop, coz its a blessing when ppl was not realized how good he was but at the same time I can say that I lucky enough to have him become to my ult bias while people don't 💜

Although it isn't shown here, but unpopular opinion, I wish they gave jk's centre dancer part during the dance break to hobi so that he would have a longer amoutn of time to showcase his dance skills like the main dancer he is since he really didn't get much lines or screentime otherwise. Although jk did amazing as expected, he already blew everyone away with his bridge, so it would;ve been nice to see hobi in the centre for a longer amount of time
Unpopular opinion: the choreography in terms of center and visuals (who is more centred etc) is really really bad... I’m pretty disappointed at how hoseok has been left behind without giving him much space to shine. Nothing against the others ofc, but I got the feeling hoseok’s getting underestimated... once again...
Well part of it might also be hobi. Hes a really humble guy and always has a part to play in the making of the choreo. I wouldn't be surprised if he requested side parts. Especially since he needs to watch the other member as the dance leader

Seeing Hoseok dance, I'm not going to lie to you, it's an adrenaline experience. He has so much power, so much presence when he steps on the stage that you stay stuck looking at him. You don't understand what happened, until you feel another voice rap. And my God, I'm so amazed. That is passion, that is true love for what one does even if he does not receive recognition as the main dancer he is.
